Hey Snoss, In reference to your post, I have a property for sale in San Jose. It's a great property and I'd prefer not to sell it, but I've switched operations over to Panama. |

Snoss...I would also suggest if you are serious about real estate in CR that you go with a KNOWLEDGEABLE and HONEST agent there. Leave the skirts at the Delrey. As has been well documented on this board on the subject of real estate...it can get real complicated real fast doing transactions there and not losing your money. Be very careful who you deal with...and dont base your decision on who looks better in a skirt. Business is business...women are women in CR. Dont mix the two. Very Dangerous... I dont know the price...but I concurr that TonyV has a nice property there with good potential income. Maybe your search is over... |

Check with LennyDoo, he had an agent that really did a great job for him in finding a condo. be very careful, there is no liscensing or listing service per se. The worst of the bunch can be gringo real estate agents down here. Take your time, make sure you hire your own attorney and make sure you know who the real property owner is. BKTUNA I am never going back |

Post subject: | A note about real estate salesmen in CR.... |
Keep in mind that real estate sales people in CR do not have the same due diligence mandate you are used to here in the US. They represent themselves in all dealings. It is quite common for the realtor or broker to work you up on a price because they can keep everything between the the agreed sale price and the agreed buy price. Also, there are no licenses in CR. Anyone can sell property. It is also common for someone to try to sell you a property they don't even own. Get a GOOD lawyer, and have them verify ownership, liens and prices for you. |
