Planing 6 days june 1 thru 6 - 3 in San Jose and 3 in Jaco - the weather maps show allot of rain during that time. how realistic is that ? on average will there be any beach weather or does it rain most of the time.

Thanks....

While June is in the middle of the "green" season, that shouldn't deter you. Especially if you're at the beach. It's so damn hot, you'll be praying for rain to cool things off a little bit. Either way, a rainy day in CR is STILL much better than a sunny day in gringaland. Think about it.....

Besides that, the weather on any given day in CR is a crap shoot. It might rain the entire time you're in country, or it might not rain a drop. You never know. IMHO, don't plan your trip around the weather. Just go and have fun!

Also, the rain seldom comes until afternoon. Get up before 10 even and you can spend a few hours burning your skin before the rain comes.

May thru Oct are great months to visit, as it is not as crowded and prices are generally down. It does rain a bit more, but as mentioned, usually not until afternoon, which is a great time to take a nap for the evenings festivities, or just stay in the bar until the rain stops. It might be a good idea to pack a little folding umbrella. I'll be down for a couple of weeks at this same time, and am looking forward to it, as there are not so many crazed gringos in Jaco

I was in Jaco for 3 days last June...plenty of sun, very hot...and not a drop of rain.
