Post subject: | Lap Top Computers in your hotel room |
I'm staying at the Presidente and chose to return to my room for something. When I arrived, my door was wide open and in full view to anyone walking by was my lap top. The cleaning lady was in the next room completely out of the view of the door so there was nothing to keep someone from walking right in and grab my computer. Needless to say, it is now kept in my closet when I am not in the room since it will not fit in the safe. This could have been the mother of all newbee mistakes if someone walked off with my computer. ![]() |

You should have said something to her, usually if the door's open she is in the room. I always leave mine on the desk too and never worry too much at the Pres. |

Another option is to lock valuables that don't fit into the safe in your luggage. Get a good lock. I recommend a TSA-approved lock, so they can open it at airport screening, instead of cutting it. This is also a good idea when having chicas over, almost mandatory for TLN's. The hotel safes can only hold so much, most can't fit laptops, speakers, mouthwash ![]() http://www.ebags.com/search/index.cfm?f ... =tsa+locks http://www.tamperseal.com/index.php?cPa ... g_tsalocks |

I have one, but not the combination, just a regular key lock, they are pretty strong. The combination locks look pretty cool though. I think I'll go with an orange one. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Orange, thanks for the tamperseal web site. On it I found an item of interest...pacsafe duffle bag. I was looking for a item like that one to safely secure my important stuff when I visit cuba this year. |

LOL, good one Bilko. I was wearing only a towel so I'll try it now. ![]() I heard a band playing at NYB a few minutes ago and went in to see if it was you but no, there were quite a few chicas in there looking for work though. |
