On my way home from my second trip to CR, I wore a Blue Marlin baseball hat to the airport and on the flight back to Miami. Some loud mouthed ugly gringa who must have been in her early 20s saw me wearing the hat as my friends and I boarded the plane and she went off on me in front of everyone..."Hey sicko!!!! Nice hat!!! Everyone look at the sicko who stays at the whore house!!" So I turned around and said to her "Weren't you there last night asking for $50??"

Point being...You should probably pass on wearing the hat. Think of it as more of a souvenir rather than something to wear. As I learned, you never know who'll recognize it and decide to publicly embarass you.

i brought one back for an old timer who lives in assisted living, he loves it.

The BM makes a great hat. I have every color and wear them most of the time: at home and in SJ. I wish Sportsman's Lodge would make a better hat similar to BM's. The response I have always received from other people when wearing it has always been positive. Even if the response had been negative I still would have worn it proudly.
