Sweet! I signed up for CRT, booked my trip for early April, and already paid for my membership with VIP savings without even leaving the States yet. Love it, thanks CRT. Counting the days to get there! |

Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout! ![]() And Generic, beyond the discounts, photo galleries and V.I.P. section access, your membership also helps keep CRT thriving. Bandwidth ain't cheap, and it's a seven day a week job to administrate this website. Guys like you and I see the value in keeping this priceless source of information online. Now that you've saved $$$$, don't stop there! Be sure to carry your V.I.P. card with you in Costa Rica. Use the free nightclub admissions ($12.00 value at Kamur alone). If you stay at one of our sponsor hotels, be sure to mention your C.R.T. V.I.P. status when you reserve your room and request the discount. Enjoy restaurants cheaper, and even down a complimentary cocktail or two! In other words, don't leave home without it. As a V.I.P., you have full access to this website. Download and print the following ASAP: 1. The map 2. List of CRT sponsors, discounts & benefits 3. RBC100's indispensible "Massage Parlor & Tico Bar List" (Bars, Nightclubs & Massage Parlors section). 4. Ace's list of what to pack and his list of newbie tips. Priceless. Also, you'll want to: 5. Read King Costa's insightful tips on conducting the employment interview. 6. Use the Search function to learn more about your topics of interest. Browse the Forum daily for restaurant reviews, chica reviews/warnings and other information useful for your coming trip. Most importantly, remember this: It only takes one trip to C.R. for most of us to become addicts. Once you have tasted these sweet tropical fruits and have heard the song of the wild on your pillow, you're phucked for life. You'll never be the same again. ![]() Welcome to the VIP of CRT! Glad it's working for you so far! |

Here's an excellent primer to read before going to C.R. for the first time: https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=263 Ace has compiled a brilliant review of do's and don't's. Read and heed! ![]() |

Here's the link to Ace's thread about what to bring to Costa Rica: https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=953 Both this thread and the link listed in the previous reply can be currently found on Page 2 of The Newbies' Section, just in case I've incorrectly listed the links. |

Here are a few tried and true excuses for returning to C.R.: 1. I'm looking for real estate, either for my own retirement or investment. 2. I want to study Spanish where I can reallly immerse myself in a culture, in a place that's politically stable and fairly close to home. 3. You know, I've always wanted to try deep sea fishing. 4. I really need to get laid by a woman who doesn't resemble a potato dumpling. ![]() |

I'm eight weeks away from my scheduled trip and I'm achin' for some shakin'! ![]() If I could afford to, I'd take up deep sea fishing and schedule quarterly trips to CR to "fish" with my fishing buddies. Or, I'd establish some "business ties" and make quarterly trips to "maintain the relationships". Alas, my obligations at home preclude me from anything more than annual excursions. |
