I know from reading this forum for a few weeks now that I might get slammed for wanting to go to CR for a bachelor party, but I am planing the party for next feb. and with the over abundance of information posted on here, I find myself very confused.
First let me get the details out we (25-28) of us are heading down there for a short trip (wed-sun) we are planing on coming in wed. and staying at the Hotel Del Rey for the first night to do some drinking/gambling and for others to do what they must(is there a better place in sanjose?) then head to the coast for some good fishing (thinking quepos, jaco, etc) not too sure where to go? Advise?
Should I find a large house or 3 or rent a large portion of a hotel? Any recommendations? What bars/strip clubs are good in San Jose, and/or the costal towns with good fishing? Are drinks expensive? Fishing expensive? Food good/expensive? What should we avoid? What would make you vulnerable to any danger?
Some guys would be looking to spend the entire trip with as many women as possible while others are happy with fishing and drinking all day...so it is not to exploit the women of CR. I am just looking to plan the best trip possible for my buddies and wouldnt mind some advise from some of the regulars as where to go, what to do, how to do it, and what not to do!! Sorry if this is asking too much, but I am very scattered after reading all of this!!
Thanks very much, and look forward to reading any responses!
Tight Lines!

Fishing--more options out of Quepos, but very little chica action; Jaco has some fishing options, alot of chica action.

Fishon,

Welcome to CRT! In response to your request for information on CR, many if not all of the information you are looking for can be found within the site. Use the search key on the topic you desire information. Trust me it's here on a thread somewhere.

Staying at the DR is probably a good start, housing options are plentiful, look at Craigs List for listings. Food can be native and inexpensive or $44@ at a steakhouse, brkfst usually included at hotels, traditional CR lunch at a soda for $2.50-$6.00 Drinks vary depending on location,i.e.strip clubs can be $$$, local joints $2.00 for a well brand highball. Beer at the grocery store $1/btl approx.Fishing can be $600-$1000 for an allday excursion, plenty of info on the web for this or check out some CRT sponsors w/VIP membership discounts

In the end keep researching on the site if your not a VIP member join, the discounts you receive on your first trip will cover the cost.
As a new member here I can relate to being overwhelmed, information overload if you will. But search for specific topics that apply to this trip, and buying Vegas Bob a few rounds at happy hour will reap some priceless info.

Enjoy the trip
