I already have read some interesting comments about the current TOM. People are talking about that girl being “taken off the market†by a gringo. I started to wonder how many of the former favorite chicas get pulled off the market and if any of them really ever escape the life style. I understand I may not fully understand the culture or the game but it does seem like many of these girls would quickly run from the business and never return if they found a gringo who would treat them right. Most Ticas all tell the stories of how the Ticos just want a “hit and run.†Unfortunately, they are dealing with gringos who want to do the same thing. It seems that mongering get old after a while and most at least one time or another think about having a normal relationship. So, how many really escape the business and find their dream???? |

DO NOT! I repeat, DO NOT believe anything the chicas say to you! Oh sure there is some truth to be found in their lies but the fact is most of what they say is all scripted bullshit diaolgue they learned in PUTA CLASS 101. Lesson 1, the gringos are all cash machines and your job is to extract as much dinero as you can from your victim, oops, I mean your norte-american amor. I've had many chicas tell me about how terrible Ticos are and how all they really want is a man that knows how to treat a women and her 3 Babi*s from 3 different fathers only to discover the chicas pregnant on my next trip by there newest Tico boyfriend. I asked them how come they didn't use a condom and more importantly what are you doing with another Tico. They have no reply. YOu can say whatever you want but these so called sweet poverty stricken chicas had a choice in selling their bodies for sex. I don't care how poor you are because there are so many poor women on this planet that would NEVER SELL THEIR BODIES FOR SEX!! The other day I was watching this documentary regarding the experience many immigrants trying to get in america endure. Sorry, can't remember the name at the moment. Anyways, there was a women from honduras who's husband needed surgery and her four young Ch*ldren needed to eat and on top of that they had recently lost the family home during a hurricane. Also, the family business of making tortillas to sell on the side of the road was not covering the family expenses. It's a sad story. But what does this woman who doesn't speak a word of ingles do? She starts walking to the USA to find work so she can send back to her family so her Ch*ldren can eat. She left the home without saying good-bye to her Ch*ldren because she knew it would be too difficult for her and especially for her Ch*ldren. She planned on staying in the US for at least two years so she could make enough to send her Ch*ldren to school. Why didn't she just sell her body for sex? Why? Becuase that would be too easy and this woman has self-pride. Forgive me when I say Phuck ALL THE BULLSHIT THE PUTAS say to manipulate all you soft norte-americanos. They had a choice and they chose to work as WHORES!! Las mujeres de la vida facil. If they cry about how much money they need to pay the bills tell them to start walking to the US and find a job like the woman from honduras, like sooooo many other women have done before she started her trek to the US. It's all bullshit!! The ILLUSION includes everything and anything the chicas say or do to make you feel good about yourself. Again, sorry I don't remember the name of the documentary but I tell you if you watch it, it will break your heart and make you experience feeling you've never thought you had. It's a very moving, emotional documentation of what people will do to survive. It also shows how evil man can be when they find someone who they can prey on, easy victims. It's SICK!! There are some scenes that makes you want to take ACTION agains some of these perpetrators. Talk to Ticos/Ticas whom are not connected to the gulch and they will tell you all about the PUTAS and their easy way of life. "A PUTA will always go back to work as a PUTA. They have no shame, so what's to stop them?" That's what I've heard many times. NO. I would say these chicas are not looking for anyone to save them from themselves. YOu can try but you will die before you can have any postiive impact in their lives. This is the life they chose. A PUTA sells her body for sex and she will continue to do so while she is married/living with a unemployed Tico. The chicas are no different than gringas in the states who continue to chase after bad boys, time and time again You can treat these type of gringas like a gentleman and they will walk all over you before they split from your boring ass so can have trouble and chaos in their lives again. The biggest problem I think with many mongers wandering lost in the fog when in Costa Rica is that a monger is too close to the scene to see things for what they really are, at least most. You have to step back and take a closer look from afar to better understand the truth and most importantly the lies and stories these chicas weave. NOw, with that being said. I will continue to treat the chicas/whores/putas like a gentleman, they all love me, but I will not believe anything they say and will not feel sorry for the decisions they've made to work as WHORES because they are too lazy to find a real J. O. B. Start walking PUTAS!!!!!!!! Phuck'em if they can't take a joke!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "If I was to live each day as if it was my last I would have been dead a long time ago." - Traylor Park |

I feel sorry for you Traylor! Your singleminded and erroneous conclusions make me wonder if you visit the same Costa Rica I do. We sure aren't meeting the same women, that much is for sure. One suggestion is to stop "treating gringas like gentleman." Your posts give special meaning to "YMMV." Pura Vida |

I just got back fron SJO this week racking up 9 tours of duty in almost 2 years. I agree with TP. He hit the nail on the head. Everything between the gringo and the working girl is and always has been about the MONEY. They are much like our elected leaders... if their lips are moving they are probably lying. This is a game they play very well... seperating you from your $$$. I was talking last week with a Colombian "amiga" while we were sitting in San Pedro mall eating. "Andrea, why is it that after many years here in SJO you don't speak much English?" Her answer was...... "I have poosy". The "game" is "buy and sell poosy". The chicas are all like used car salesmen. You don't trust "those guys" do you? Berk....... |

I know of several that have married gringos and are living the dream (probably nightmare for him) and there's always a couple others off the market every trip. Funny that most will still work while gringo-novio sends money although maybe discreetly (avoiding the BM) and the ones that don't- I believe it's because of laziness rather than giving a shit about being faithful to him. Why work when someone's sending you money?- Hey we lovestruck gringos have inadvertantly introduced the welfare concept to the country via Western Union to chicas! ![]() So how many escape? Tough question, so many come and go for so many different reasons but the guys that live there and know many chicas probably have an idea or could at least make an educated guess. TP your rant makes me wonder did some evil puta rip your heart out, steal your wallet, then kick you in the nuts before spitting on you? ![]() |

TP has just been here long enough for the delusions to wear off. It's a different view when you've lived here for a while. He's pretty much dead on. |

Yea, I remember when when TP was going to save the world and how all these ladys were forced into this. And how terrible we were to call them whores. Now after awhile and the fantasy wears off He has figured out they are women. And women all over the world are the same, That's because they are women. I go to Costa Rica because I can have Miss Febury at Idem for 45.00. I could get the same thing here from Eros for 300.00 to 400.00 per hour. That add's up alot faster than 45.00 or 20.00 per hour when staying at ZB. And the different culture is fun. I will addmitt that it seems certain area's of the world are better for working girls. Ansterdam and Germany but not England or Ireland. Southeast Asia pretty much anywhere, Cost Rica and Brazil here in the America's. But I can tell you from experince in Nevada are some real nice places with penthouse girls. But damm you can spend alot of money there. So, Yea I agree with the aged and learned TP. |

I know several who are happily married to gringos and raising families together. In fact one couple just moved to Panama because too many people here remember her from her days at the Del Ray. The situation that seems to never work is the remote novia, paying her not to work when the guy is in the US. BKTUNA I am never going back |

Do Ticas leave ever leave the business? Do alcoholics ever recover from chemical dependency? Prostitution is an addiction. (and apparently so is MONGERING) While I acknowledge the validity in TPs comments, and I think that his mind set can be valuable for us to adopt for self - protection, I can't be so harsh on these women. At some point in their life, they received a ridiculous amount of money from a man in return for sex. I have talked to a few of them about their experience the first time. ( (I know, I know...when a chica's lips are moving...but I believe this to be true for better or worse...) It was a rush! It was the first time the vein got popped and the H flowed through their brain! One chica told me when she got 300 from a guy at the Cariari she couldn't belive it was happening. This could't be possible. It was too easy! She was soooooooooo happy - she came home and everyone got a piece - mama first, abuela in Nicaragua, a struggling married sister, all got a piece of the pie. What a feeling it must have been for her to be able to provide for her family. And so easy. 300 bucks just for facilitating a certain white liquid's appearance at the end of a C*ck. She must have thought wow! this is fucken great. And so at this point in time - what next? Is that a one shot deal? Or is she going to go back? Of course she's going back. But Dios Mia! Am I a puta? she wonders. She knows she has to keep it a secret. The shame! Daddy must NEVER find out. It will bring shame on him. But she goes back. More dinero. Then again and again. And then she's hooked on hooking. But...the bills are getting paid, and the K*ds are going to the doctor, and mama is resigned to the fact that her daughter is a puta, but she realizes that being practical is always best - better than making some fuckin idiotic trip across Mexico to sneak into the US - And so days go by, then weeks, months... she gets better at the game...joins the puta sisterhood...she works on points for style...how to best get the blood flowing to the gringo C*ck...evey night is a rush...its dangerous, but fun and worth the risk. The HDR is as a safe place as it gets for her. Ah the joy of hearing "mi primera vez in Costa Rica." The money rolls in. Each night is an adventure...some nights the plata rolls in quickly, sometimes there is nothing..but thats OK it goes with the territory. and they ain't no man, tico, gringo or otherwise telling them what to do. They are the boss. (If they don't have a chivo) And then eventually she'll think, "what's so fucken wrong with being a puta?" and any shame they once had gets buried deep within their mind and locked away. But its still there - the shame. And if she ever wants to get out I would think there are programs for women - Rehab centers maybe - that try to treat "puta dependency" but I'm sure they are just as successful as Hazleton...good for a while but inevitably they will slide back... If any of you have been to rehab or have done 12 steps you know how hard that is - especially dealing with the SHAME - I think that's step 6, right? That's a rough one. So a puta may reform. maybe find a gringo and leave the life, probably needs to do it as quickly as possible and at a young age. But I believe it happens as much as an alcoholic gets clean and stays clean. Possible in theory, but in reality, probably not very often. And worst case scenario - she'll be one of those 50+ year old whores that don't even bother to take care of what looks they have left - trolling through the HDR at 5 am for their compliment - the fat drunk and stupid cochino... Muy muy triste. But on a brighter note..leaving now for two nights in Puerto Viejo with a favorita...she keeps telling me "no quiero mas trabajar en el Rey.... |
