Post subject:  Are you normal?

The U.S. Census Bureau has just issued it's most recent statistical abstract of the nation. Each time they go into more detail on every aspect of our lives. This time they have a chart of the number of opposite-sex partners men (and women) have had in their lifetime.

Of course, since nobody has sex after 44 they use that as their cut-off age.
For men under 44 the breakdown goes as follows:
Males aged 15-19 had 1.9 partners;
aged 20-24, 3.8 partners;
aged 25-29, 5.9 partners;
aged 30-34, 6.4 partners;
aged 35-39, 6.9 partners;
aged 39-44, 8.2 partners.
It should be emphasized that these are total numbers of lifetime partners.

My question is are there any normal guys at CRT?

I know my last best guesstimate put me somewhere in the 500+ range :? :? :? :D :D

Age 44 being the cut off huh.
Hmm, guess we know why so many
age 44+ gringos go overseas... :wink:
I know I'm not normal... :twisted:

I've stopped counting and wouldn't even hazard a guess. Probably not as many as PdG but still quite a few. Even as a whore dog, I still tend to do a lot of repeat business with the same providers once I find one I like. I'm sure I've been with EASILY over a hundred, perhaps several hundred. I don't think I've broke the thousand mark but you never know. Does it really matter any way once you reach the point that you can't even count them exactly. I'm never gonna break Wilt the Stilt's alleged record of 10,000.

I have a different question to ask. Considering that probably most of us are not "normal" by these standards, what do you guys tell others if and when they ask you how many you've been with? And I'd split that question further into what would you tell a male or female polltaker, what would you tell you're non-mongering buddies and what would you tell a gringa friend?

To begin with, do you think those numbers reported in that study are accurate? How did the US Census Bureau collect its data and do you think all the respondants were completely honest (ie for whatever reason either vastly understating or overstating their history)? If a male polltaker asked me how many I'd been with and I hadn't been with many, I might overstate it. Since I HAVE been with many I wouldn't have to do that and would probably just tell the truth - proudly. OTOH, if it were a non-mongering buddy that asked I might not reveal the full extent of my depravity, or possibly any of it at all, if I didn't think he would understand or appreciate it (since he'd know I didn't bag that many based just on my charm and good looks).

However, if the census taker was a girl I'd probably be less inclined to admit what a complete whore meister I really am since few women can understand or approve of our lifestyles. OTOH, who cares what she thinks. The really big question is what do you tell a prospective girlfriend when she asks this question. Do you tell the truth because "all good relationships should be based on honesty"? Besides, maybe she'd understand or at least not care what you did in the past (my guess that would be a very rare gringa). Do you dodge the question? That's probably what most of us would try to do but for how long can you do that? Or do you lie through your teeth and only admit to a number she might consider acceptable? And what should that number be? I guess now the safe answer would be 8.2. Do you only count the non-pro partners that you had in the course of normal relationships (ie don't count 1 night stands either)?

BTW, did you notice the relatively big jump in numbers for the 39-44 age range? The numbers increase quickly early in life as you would expect but then settle down to a .5 increase every 5 years once guys hit 30. My guess would be the big jump after 40 is because that is the age when many guys wind up getting divorced and start seeking out new partner(s) after having been married to one woman for many years (and presumably mostly faithful during that marriage, but certainly less in the market).

On the subject, I wonder how many non-paid partners our members have had? Personally, I hit 100 in my late 40s and stopped counting, but the rate had slowed down considerably by then. 100 may seem like a lot to some (not the boys here, I'm sure) but over the span of 30 years, it's like 3.3 a year. Whoop de do. I had a few monagamous stretches of a year or so, and early on, I had a year or two where I went hitless.

By the way, I have never been married or lived with anyone. Having never had to really answer to anybody I had the freedom to be a slut without having to be secretive about it.

Anyone else care to share his non-pro numbers?

My non-pro numbers at age 49 = 28.

And I remember all their names! :shock:
However, I'm really wondering what would prompt anyone, anyone to answer such an invasive question from a Census Bureau employee? My answer would have been "None of your f***ing business," regardless of the sex of the census taker. OTOH, if she (census taker) was young, hot and tight...I might have answered, "Whatever the number, care to help me make it one more...?"
