In January I will be due for my 3 month excursion from CR for at least 3 days/ Normally I go visit my family in Boston, but I am skipping that until the snow and cold weather is over. I am looking for some discussion here from our knowledgable travellers as to somewhere new to try.I am not limited to 3 days. I don't think I want to do the long trip to Thailand though it would probably be my first choice.BA sounds great but again it's far. Lima sounds like a place I would like for a week. How about it,RBC? I have been to Medellin but not Cartegena or Cali. I've been to Panama twice and don't think the mongering scene is anywheres as good as where I live in CR so why bother again. Rio is a possibility even though it's not really close.Travelling from CR isn't the most convenient so keep that in mind. OK I'm open for all suggestions |

Bob, I cant tell you exactly where you should go. However, if you want to continue to be real happy in Costa Rica don't go to Rio. |

Bob first thing to come to my mind was Lima. Do some internet dating stuff and see if you can meet someone that way. |

From knowing Vegasbob all these years I don't think you would be happy in Rio or have as much fun as you are in San Jose. ![]() ![]() |

Lima would be a nice place to visit for a week but it has no central location like Blue Marlin or say the Mansion in Medellin and everything is spead out around the city. There is something for everyone in all price ranges and much better escourt scene than San Jose. Weather is ideal in January with highs upper 70's to 80 and lows in 60's. Great food at reasonable prices and nice hotels also reasonable. Miraflores is a great area to spend time in an feels safer than San Jose by far but locals still warn of dangers.rbc100 |

Go to the Philippines and then post your experience. I am considering going there in April. |

Circus can VB sleep on your couch? |
