I have friend who recieved a voice mail from a Tica who left a short and to the point message "mi amor. i'm three months pregnant." That's it. How would he proceed to see if the baby is actually his? And how do they test for this before the baby is born, is it possible? What should he prepare for if in fact the baby is his? Anyone know any good lawyers in Costa Rica who speak ingles? ![]() ![]() ![]() - - - - - - - - -- - -- - - -- - - -- - -- - - - -- -- - - - - -- - - - - - - -- - - -- - -- "im in love with a whore and i don't even know it." - Traylor Park |

First off, I'd tell him to stay out of Costa Rica. A crazy chick could cause him a lot of trouble if he's in the country. |

If she's crazy it may just be a ploy to mess with him or an RFM. So he was doing her bareback? ![]() |

Not allowing him to leave Costa Rica unless he puts up a large amount of money. A woman can have this done here. Don't know the amount the gov't puts on this. If we are talking about a working girl, you never know what she has in mind. If this was a girlfriend, well, maybe he handles that differently. |

You can tell her anything you want but it will not make a difference. Costa Rican law allows her to make you submit to a DNA test. Should you refuse you will ordered to pay Ch*ld support. |

#1 it is probably all BS. If she is pregnant the odds are it was someone else. The problem is it is a big worrisome mess to clear up & it will cost some $$ I bet. It is just another reason to use protection let alone all the other little organisms, assorted parasites & other miscellaneous sludge build up crawling around in their bodies ready & willing to invade yours. Look how this crap can affect your future fun. It is probably not true but can you feel comfortable returning ![]() Flash & dash with protection & no contact info left is hard to go wrong with. I know it is hard to do when you find a certain type that you see as normal mentally or above & hot as hell but...... Men's insecurities & egos sure plague us with our own self made misery ![]() |

Stay out of the CR if you think it's true, go to Panama or Colombia. |

I recently had a pregancy scare and can chime in as I talked to lawyers. If you get a girl pregnant in CR, you are pretty much screwed. You should immediately get a lawyer. I know a few who have already helped out gringos. First question - is she really pregnant? or pulling a scam? If the is 3 months, then she BETTER have gone to a doctor. In this case, ask the doctor to mail you confirmation of the pregnancy test results. Not too much to ask. If she is pregnant, it may not be yours. First thing is the DNA test. You will never know who is the father without. Even if you are in a relationship with a non p4p gal, she may be phucking on the side. The test is the only way to know for sure. I don't think you have to fly back to CR for the DNA test. You MAY be able to do it from the states. If it turns out she is pregnant AND it is yours (genetic match). Hire the lawyer. She will most likely file for Ch*ld support with the government. The border control then will hold your passport until you put a $5,000 bond for the Ch*ld's annual expenses. This bond is required every year and it is in addition to the actual Ch*ld support. If you don't plan on marrying her, you can bet she will go to court and file Ch*ld support. Other than that, you are locked into Ch*ld support for 18 years PLUS the $5,000 bonds. After the K*D is 3 years old, you are also forced to begin the filing and visa process with the US to guarantee the K*D has US citizenship. It is a legal mess and a financial disaster. If it is yours, you might as well marry her. Good luck!!!! ![]() |

What if you don't have the $5k? And what if you live in Costa Rica and make about $500 a month yourself? How do the Ticos get away with paying nothing? I know many chicas whose Babi*s daddy's support them by spending their hard earned cash on putas and Imperials. If the average Tico income is $400 a month were do they get the $5k and the additional monthly Ch*ld support cost? What happens if you return to the states and refuse to pay the extortion fees? - - - - - - -- - - - - -- - - - -- - - -- - -- - - - - - -- - -- -- - - - - - -- - - -- - - "i'm in love with a whore and i don't even know it." - Traylor Park |

Thridworld - you live there so what if a chica accused you, would you get on the first flight back to the USA and stay out of CR forever as you've suggested or stay for the DNA test? Laws are one thing, laws that are enforced are another thing. They don't seem to be enforcing this law on their own citizens. (yeah, I know, everyone will say that they selectively enforce it on us). I wonder how many natives have been charged with having sex with a minor in the last 5 years (since the signs at the airport were posted... aimed as us of course, but we know citizens are doing this all the time)? There is a law against this too. I have more questions: So any hooker in CR who is pregnant and you've passed her by in the HDR a few times or any non-hooker you've chatted with in a hotel bar, but never phucked can go to the police or whatever and say "I'm pregnant and it is Joe Smooth's baby" so arrest him? Does she at least have to present some sort of proof that she has slept with you? DNS tests aren't cheap. She is pregnant, no baby yet, can a DNA test take place? I think it can, but will cost a lot more. I doubt DNA tests are free to just anyone so who pays? It seems to me, the burden is on the chica. Will they give a hooker a DNA test just because she says --> IT'S HIS, the GRINGO? Does the Gringo pay for the DNA test just because a hooker points to you? Does the Gringo who she blames for the pregnancy have to give 5000 for a bond just because a hooker who sleeps with freckin' 40 men a week says --> IT'S HIS! Two DNA tests have to be completed so even more costs. Submitting to a test is easy - who is going to pay for them (both tests). They can't force the gringo to pay so who pays? I can't see the gov't paying. I can see the gov't paying for a citizen to get a broken leg or arm fixed, but for a DNA test? Is this covered by the insurance in CR? It seems she would have to foot the bill for both DNA tests - anyone think she'll pay? I've known women in the USA who aren't hookers and are educated and they aren't so aggressive toward the guy they think or know got them pregnant. It seems to me we're giving a country that seems to care less when a native knocks up a chica a lot of credit for pursuing us Gringos. And, it seems we are doing the same for uneducated chicas who's lives are a mess a lot of credit for being highly sophicated in aggressively pursuing us. * |

That's a good question. I'm pretty settled in after 7 years. I better stop telling chicas I live in Jaco. As long as they don't know your name it would be very hard for them to track you. Would probably stay out of Jaco for a while and not be visible in the gulch. |

Chica, bebe, pension...$$$$. You know, in CR the ticas are famous to pull that on ticos as well. Have his bebe for pen$ion. And the Police are good at nothing but chasing ticos who are behind on their pension if the tica files a complaint. Fu cking amazing policia ... Anyway, before the guy plans anything , as mentioned, make sure the bebe is his. Until then, life goes on. |
