Will I have to miss my beloved sport football while I vacation in CR? I assume some of the games will be shown, but which games? Do they show certain teams more than others? What is the best place to spend an entire Sunday watching football? I assume Sportsman Lodge is good, but what about Del Ray? I will be staying in the prez, do they have english ESPN on?

Sporstmans has a dozen tvs with the dish imported from the states. That is why they have a better selction of games than anywhere else. Also the atmosphere is great.

You'll find about 5 NFL games on regular cable. On AMNET you will find them on 33 (Fox in Spanish, Sunday afternoon games), 70 (CBS, sunday afternoon games), 71 (NBC Sunday night) and ESPN International 68 (English) for Monday night.

Fox is piped in from Mexico: they will have the Cowboys as a default besides whatever Fox US may be featuring.

Sportsmen's is the best for watching stuff not on regular cable. Bill rocks.

Currently at the HotelM watching and betting games which is a great local flat screens quiet... Love Bills place too, I'll probably alternate but today, I'm chilling all day here.

If you want to watch a night game, the Pres's Sportsbar is very nice on the 2nd floor. They open at 5:00 each day and are very accomodating. They spent a good 20 minutes finding me a college game recently. Very nice pool tables and nice couches with a huge screen to watch the game.

I watched the Pro games Sunday at the Sportsmans and it was a nice atmosphere. It was comfortable with good food and good company. There is also easy access to any wagering that you might want to access. I lost for the day,but it wasn't the SL's fault. lol

I usually go to the sportsman's to watch the world champion steelers. But I am not sure if Bill can get every game on sundays. That is a big concern for me as I only watch pittsburgh.

Don't go to the colonial. I went last sunday and the service was almost non existant.Bad for CR and that is saying something. Only one big TV the rest were normal sized TV's. If you did not have a front seat pretty hard to see anything.

I understand that the presidente's sports bar is nice but how stupid is it to open up at 5pm and miss all the day games on sunday???? Only in CR.

Anyone know anything about Mac's american bar in la sabana?? Can they get all the games on sunday??

Thats not much help unless you are staying there. According to their website you must be either staying at the hotel, be a guest of someone staying there or be a member of the HotelM, which last I knew was $600 per year, to be able to enter the premises.

Think that $600.00 per year is a little pricey to watch footballs games.
