I saw one of my favoritas start her rounds at 7:00, strolling
through the Blue Marlin, and through the two sections of the Del Rey
bar/coffee shop, and once in a while across the street to the Key
Largo. At 2:00 A.M she was still at it. God, that must be boring: to
walk around for 7 hours and to strike out.

I gave her some advice, and I really wonder if you guys would agree
with me.

I told her she should try to innocent look. When I first met her in June,
she did have an innocent look: neat little top, neat slacks, not much
makeup. I thought she looked hot as hell, and she was. But on the recent
trip in August, she had some expensive top on that plunged
in the middle of her chest, with fancy straps playing peek-a-boo with
her little tetas. She had a lot of make-up on. Her pants still were not
bad, but the shoes were whorish.

When I told her that she should try to innocent look, she argued with
me vigorously. She says that gringos want sluts with tits and ass exposed.
She says that she sees the most outrageously dressed girls make the
most successful deals.

I counterd by saying that, even though she might be correct about
most gringos, there were lots of guys who were just dying to meet
innocent-looking girls who look like college students, or legal
secretaries, or proper hotel staff. I told her she should establish a
niche, a specialty. She didn't need all the gringos -- she just needed
two or three a night, and she could be rich.

I have to say that, with her, innocence would be quite natural. She is young,
short, slim, soft-spoken, playful like a kitten, and she has lots of freckles
on her light skin. She speaks very little English (I don't bother
even talking with girls who speak English because of past
disappointments). I might add that she is hot as hell once you get her
behind closed doors. White skin can be a nice change of pace.

So, what's your honest opinion? If she dresses up in the same way she
would if she were applying for a job as a bank teller, would she
attract enough gringos to keep her happy? Is my suggestion that she
establish a niche a bad business suggestion? Is there a way to make
her life a little easier, without the long circles of lonely walking?

I couldn't agree with you more on all this. I hate the "Pro Puta look". I am like you I only like Spanish speaking types since more of these tend to have less experience & are not as hard about it all.

It just gags me to see them dress in whore clothes like bright red & neon. Maybe they are in a postion to see what works overall better than us but I try to stay away from the big bolt ons & the slutty dress.

She maybe right & you & I are the exception more than the rule there. Many men come down to party hardy & want them to advertise how big a slut they really are????

Personally, I like that "girl next door" look also. After all..... we already KNOW that we're gonna get laid. That's good enough for me.

That over-the-top "slutty" look is nice for eye candy. But if they're dressing like that, just to let us know that they're "available", it's really not necessary! That's already a foregone conclusion. YMMV!

Back in 2003 I met a shy, little girl standing along the wall next to a slot machine in the Del Rey. Her more experienced sister was playing the machine. The cutie was wearing jeans and and regular flat shoes. She had long extensions in her hair made into braids with little plastic beads at the end of each one.

It was her first night and she obviously wasn't doing any business. She had a long coat on so I couldn't really tell what she was packing. I bought her a couple Coke and we chatted a little. She spoke no English. We couldn't come to terms and it was my last night and I was pretty tired so I passed on her.

When I returned a month later and saw a really cute, little girl walking around with hair in a cut just barely touching her neck. If I hadn't recognized the jacket I would have never known it was her. She was excited that I recognized her and I was amazed at the transition to a very attractive girl with a new hairstyle and some makeup. We came to terms and spent a couple nice nights together including a dinner with some of my CRT buddies and their dates.

When I returned 5 months later this sweet, cutie had cut her hair to where is barely covered her ears, added red dye on top and was wearing a skin-tight dress with 4 inch heels. She had also added about 30lbs to her ass. Even her English-speaking friend told me "She's a prostitute now!" almost like a badge of honor.

Four months later I returned and now her hair was black and fortunately she had dropped a little weight but still had some work to do. Now here's a girl I already had some history and good times with and she wouldn't come off $100. I laughed and walked away. We never got together again.

What a waste.

As to your friend using the "girl next door" image to her advantage I would think there would be a lot of guys who would prefer that image. But that might be guys who have been to San Jose a few times and have grown tired of the hardcore look. CRT guys would probably fall into that category.

But as Zippy said, there are probably even more guys who end up in the Del Rey that DO like the puta look. There are times I like to go in that direction, but only rarely.

I guess they go with what they see is successful or what someone tells them is the "norm".

We had an expression when I sold cars back in 1976, "There's an ass for every seat".

Great marketing advice IMO and many of the chicas could use some help in this area. It makes sense but she seems to be thinking like a typical hard-headed chica and wants to argue the facts. Handy used to joke about how so many of the chicas needed a puta-makeover to help them succeed in attracting the right clientele, and he also offered some of them advice- even innocent sounding working names.

There is definitely a market for the slut look but if that's not working for her than your idea is obviously worth a try, the innocent or classy look is exactly what I look for most of the time as well as many guys that I know. One chica comes to mind that dresses conservatively and sometimes wears a long dress - she stands out amongst the slutty crowd & seems to do plenty of business so we have to wonder why more chicas don't dress normally. Guess the slutty-whore look is "in" right now. Explain to her that she could just try it for a couple weeks and observe the results.

The flip side of the coin maybe worth mentioning to her is what type of guys these opposing looks attract? Just thinking out loud here but it seems the real slutty look would attract the more hard-drinker, gambler type of guy (which theoretically in her mind could occasionally yield bigger pay for them), and the conservative "semi-pro" look usually attracts the more sober, GFE seeking guys. It may make no difference to her what type of guy she attracts but it appears that some of the "classy" workers do actually pick and choose their clients to some extent, avoiding the sloppy drunks.

Personally I usually prefer the more innocent look for a chica for most of the reasons that have already been said. It seems to be a natural progression that chicas go through at the DR to start out innocent looking and progress to slutty.It's probably because they don't own the slutty clothes and shoes until they work for a while and can afford them. Then they buy the stuff and try to look like the more experinced and successful chicas.

On a related topic,I usually walk down Avenida Central most mornings when I come into town.I invariaby see a couple of DR chicas during my walk out shopping or whatever. All I can say is that some of these chicas sure do clean up well when they go to work. What I see is a chica,au natural, that would be hard pressed to get $20 from a Gringo.At night, Cinderella is popping off $100s like it's nothing.

I don't think a "one size fits all" is the solution. How does this girl look when she is all painted up? Better? Worse? I think it's really all more in the attitude.

I dated a gringa who did some national modeling. Without makeup she was just an average girl, albeit with a HOT body. But, put some makeup on her and dress her the part....YIKES. That's the girl in the magazine and that's the girl I wanted to bed. I've seen the "girl next door" type try the warpaint and frankly, they looked more like a circus clown. Just doesn't work for them. Maybe this girl needs to work on her personality. The successful ones know how to draw attention but not be pushy.

Just for the record, I really go for the slut look.

Will be interesting to see if we can get a few relative newbies to the mongering scene to post their preference of a "look". My gut feeling is that they will prefer the "slutty puta look".

This is the really sad progression I see all too often. After they transition to the "Puta" badge of honor they just get that spunk glazed look & stop focusing on anything other then "cien por una hora" . Sad to be with one that was so innocent & now is so ruined. The only way I have been lucky to avoid this scenario is find the innocent one with normal dress & even though it appeared everyone had fun that night you can tell she is not happy about being at HDR. These I collect their phone #s the rest I could care less. When you return & find they are not working & do not come out anymore because they could not cope with the scene it can make a good situation.

Well we all know they need money & they know you & trust the time with you that is as long as you were nice & not a wild & crazy guy. So most will come out to play & of course will meet in normal clothes. Most of these types do not want to meet at HDR but rather meet in a normal setting like a restaurant or your hotel lobby. This is why I do not like staying at HDR. These arrangements I find can be cool for several years with little to NO maintenance involved. Great deal for a guy like me. This type I find usually has a regular daytime job like at a bank etc & just needed some extra money. The advantages to this are many. Generally better performc with comfort & no hassels about money or codoms for BJ.

I would think this would attract drunks which would be more difficult to deal with & might be prone to be violent at times plus they may not be able to finish as quickly being a real pain for them. Again the flip side is he might be so drunk & pass out so they make a big score taking all his stuff .

Obvious this is like Dapanz1 said one size will not fit all situations.

Funny as the Little Hamster wheel chica's minds spin up to speed. Many do not have the money to afford the Puta slutty look. After they make some money look how so many invest it. I find the smarter classier ones are not sucked into this level of being & even have enough sense to stay away from the drugs & tattoos being stronger independent thinkers.YMMV
