Long time lurker, first time poster. What is the the couples/swingers scene like in san jose or rather in the gulch? I have tried to find post on the subject and have came up empty. We will be coming down on the first of Sept. for a long weekend and was wondering how to get into trouble and or stay out of trouble with my lady friend. Just really looking for a little adventure and a little vacation. I have been reading the site for a long time and we have finally made some plans. Would love some input or links on the subject. Hope to buy you a beer when we get there. |

I have not found any swinger scene in San Jose, and I've looked, but there are many ladies there that will play around with a couple. While here in the DC area, we have many clubs and online groups, I have not found any in Costa Rica. However, you may find some CRT members that would be interested in swinging/group play. In any event, I think you and your lady friend will have a good time. ps- stay away from El Ciego and Circus |

There is not much of a gringo swinging scence in CR. About the Tico's I do not know. Zona Blue massage parlor has been a place that many couples seem to have sucess at. Go to the Hotel Del Ray and let your spouse look around. It is all legal. I would make sure about the rules of the hotel you are staying at. |

A couple CRT members have brought their girlfriends/spouses to C.R. and had a lot of fun. A number of the pro girls are truly bisexual or lesbian, and these will often do a couple for very reasonable costs, just for the novelty. I'm a bit old-fashioned about this subject. Not that I'm against swinging or open marriage lifestyles, but the Gulch has traditionally been a "boys' club," without feminine comment, criticism or interference. I think a common fear among mongers is that a gringa will get into our game and somehow Phuck it up. Also, many hotels which permit one chica per room visit (i.e. Hotel Presidente) might have a real problem with a couple bringing a pivot woman into their hotel. Best to check hotel policies beforehand. Do a search here on "couples" and you'll probably find something. Vis-a-vis the swingers' scene, from what I've been told by those who do know, being able to speak Spanish is an absolute must for the clubs Paco Loco mentioned. Rather than San Jose, perhaps you and the lady could find more fun at a swingers' venue, such as Hedonism II in Jamaica. Just a thought, but again I'm jerking my "old boy network" knee here 
. If you and your wife encounter a blind guy who looks gringo while you're in San Jose, it will probably be I. Perhaps we could grab a drink and share information? I promise to be nnice to your woman; we are after all gentlemen here.  And hey, maybe she'd be interested in an MMF triad...or is that not in your gamebook?
