Post subject:  Chocolate in check bag?

Am I just asking for trouble or will it not melt. I have taken it down may times for friends and chicas. Gum is ok in the checked. I cant seem to fit the chocolate in the carry on due to the liquor. Oddly, the chocolate is more important, I can buy more booze, not more US chocolate. I can possibly fit it in my back pack with my laptop but I dont know the restrictions. One carry on and one personal item, doesnt say how much it can wiegh or be. It could fit under the seat and my carry on over head.
So, check bag or TRY to squeeze it in my carry on?

31 hours!

IMHO, bring it on the plane with you. I believe that 50 lbs is the maximum weight for all checked bags, but this might vary, depending on the airline. Many people bring a full size carry-on bag, plus a briefcase / laptop / purse on the plane with them. You should be fine. Besides, how much could "chocolate" weigh ?!?!?
MG

Since most of the Airlines don't feed you anymore, you could always reduce that weight by munching on it enroute.

Carry-on policy: FAA regulation is 1 reasonably sized carry-on and 1 personal item (briefacse) that can be placed underneath the seat in front of you.

I have to say I've seen every kind of US chocolates in SJ, I however have not found any Seagrams 7 and some types of tequila.
