I assume the first option is not insinuating marriage like the extreme cases. I assume it means a novia type relationship where a large majority of your time is with her and you plan to see her almost exclusively |

I would have to say I am in the middle. My goal down there is the first one. To go down and find as many chica's as possilbe, but I am still open for the second one. |

I don't find that either of these choices fit for me. I visit Costa Rica strictly as a quick vacation trip and as a fill-in until I start looking for something more substantial. I also enjoy seeing friends and playing blackjack. Yes, I've been known to get a "massage", visit nightclubs or spend some time with working girls in San Jose but I don't treat it like a marathon of sex. There have a number of nights where I've returned to my hotel alone. When and if the time comes that I look for someone to spend exclusive time with it won't be with a working girl or anyone I've already met in Costa Rica. |

IMHO I would think one needs to venture through the first option in order to effectively reach a thought regarding the second option. Maybe some men will come to CR with a subconscious thought of perhaps developing a permanent relationship with a chica... but after considering all the options available and learning the facts of life in the mongering arena, I've come to the conclusion that CR is perfect for men who are going through a divorce OR want to get a divorce. Yet, there are as they say, diamonds in the rough and very solid relationships are indeed fulfilled... love works in misterious ways. But YMMV. Muff |

I'm kind of the category #2. I like to find a temporary novia, that I spend most of my time with, but still slide away for something different now and then. The reason I like it this way, is because once I find someone that the sex is good and there is some chemistry, typically the sex gets better once she thinks she is a novia. Eventually I get bored and bored and move on, but I have more fun than plucking a different girl all the time. Also, i like side trips to Jaco or Arenal for example with the temp novia, makes a pleasant drive and conversation. I do draw the line and not send them money. |

IMHO, the two don't mix as I said before. If you want to play p4p with beautiful chicas, go to the gulch. But if you are looking for a relationship in the gulch, that is sad. Go to regular clubs, malls, talk to girls on the street. |

Observing polls is similar to reading the newspaper... You have to understand the reporter's objective when he/she begins to "report" on a subject... Most are trying to prove a point they already believe. It is probably of value to understand what motivates our membership. I would suggest a more complete set of options that would reflect total membership agenda rather than a macho Up or Down querry. OK... why am I really posting a comment to this frivolous activity at 8:41 on a Sat morning... when I should return to the BR w/ my amiga... beats the he-- out of me ![]() |

Post subject: | Why are you hear: |
Why are you hear: I have always thought of the membership of CRT as falling into one of four categories. No 1: Is completely relationship impaired. Incapable of having an normal relationship. No. 2: the guy is just curious about pay for play. In between relationships hoping the next time it will be for life. No. 3: guy in a relationship. Going fishing with the boys be back in five days love you. No. 4: I'm not doing that again. As the phrase goes we pay them to leave. (me) If you're truly looking for a relationship the Blue Marlin are one of the MP's is not going to be a fertile hunting ground. I kind of look at it like this: you want a long-term relationship are for life you're going to have to be able to concentrate on her. Being a member of CRT would be much like an alcoholic taking a job in a liquor store. These are just my thoughts and give you a little insight to why I go ballistic about guys sending money. Lee |

Hey another brainstorm.... since there seems to be a reasonable response to the "One man---- one woman" philosophy How about opening some wedding chappels in downtown SJ to accomodate all the Mmen out there. We could do it in true Vegas fashion with our new President Oscar Arias instead of Elvis. For an extra fee Arias could be your witness. (everyone here likes to make some extra money) Then we could set up a divorce lawyer referral service so those utilizing the chappel facilities could undo what the phuck they did. |

Wait a minute. You might be on to something here!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm a Notary Public, and I've married 12 different couples over the past 14 years. With this, I will volunteer to marry anyone (in CR) who so desires. As far as my fees..... Just pay my airfare and hotel, and I'll fly down and perform the ceremony, and notarize your marriage documents. Hell, if you want, I'll even volunteer to consumate the marriage! We can do the ceremony anywhere you'd like..... Morazon Park, HDR, ZB, Jaco, Flamingo, VB's house in Escazu, Kamur, etc..... Just say the word, and I'm there! BTW...Great idea VB !!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Mucho Gusto ![]() |
