Just a little update to fellow CRT's that my 10 Year Anniversary party and show regarding my business here in the States will air on Playboy TV May 27 at 9pm eastern time and 10 pm pacific time Its a little background of my ten plus years of smut peddling in Houston,Tx.

Ross Dale has also seen pictures of Kamur and he is planning on sending the crew down to Kamur for the Grand Opening Party so I will keep you posted on those details likewise below is his email tome in regards to May 27th:

IMHO, this is the last thing the brotherhood of CRT needs. Yes, it would bring new members, but it also curries a type of attention that we really should be about avoiding. In truth, a couple of us have pondered the potential costs of the professional pornography profeession from the USA being invovled here. No offense to you Smut, but I think it is time we start dialoging about the potential costs here. Now, before I get slammed here, of coures it is Smuts right to post her, and to give his business the type of PR he wants. Yet, what I am refering too are potential costs of media attention to CRT itself....Time for some civil, healthy, and productive dialogue about the subject, I think. If anyone things this should be a new thread, feel free.

I agree with you. I don't want any media anywhere near CRT and even the whole Costa Rican monger scene for that matter. We don't need the religious rite (aka G.W. Bush) to start to push their narrow minded views on us and affect our right to engage in this type of activity, like they have violated our rights in other areas.

If CRT were to be made public in a magazine or tv show, I'd give us 3 months max before we were shut down.

Good point Psychman.
I believe it has long been the general opinion of most all CRT vets that ANY publicity about what goes on in CR is bad publicity, and would not be good for us or what we enjoy doing. Also the factor of "Aren't there enough gringos in the gulch already" comes into play- not to throw out crazy speculations but what if a million horny guys see what's available fairly cheap in CR on the Playboy channel? :? Not that they'll all hop on the next plane but it is something to consider.

SP certainly has right to be excited about it and wants more customers, but hopefully he will consider the possible results if too much info is revealed about what goes on in CR. Hopefully Kamur will be presented as a classy strip club instead of a place where FS sex is readily available on site, and CR not as a wild place where prostitution is easily available for reasonably cheap prices.
Besides most of us guys go to CR to go fishing and are anonymous on CRT-what if all the gringas find out what really goes on? :shock:

A few years ago there was a reporter from ABC that did an expose' on some guys having fun in CR, in fact he posted on CRT a few times. It was not a pretty sight, and the publicity on U.S. TV and media had many a monger cringing.

I'm sorry but I'm a selfish "ecotourist" (that is what I tell everyone why I go to Costa Rica every 45 days or so) and if Kamur and the activities that we really enjoy in Costa Rica are broadcasted on Playboy or HBO it would not be good thing.

It would be good for Smutpeddler's business and possibly for CRT but for me it would destroy what I love most about the place. To me, CR is a place where I can escape from the daily grind in the US. I can go there and have fun with many Chicas for not much $$ and I don't have to put up with the BS that I deal with in relationships here.

As PacoLoco put it, most of us are anonymous and want to remain that way. I do not want to share this private part of my life with many people, simply because IT IS MY PRIVATE PART OF LIFE.

I enjoy CRT and the many members I met along my travels but again, publicity would destroy this hobby.

I can go on and on about how this would suck but I think most of us are aware of that fact. OUR LITTLE SECRET WORLD WOULD HAVE TO RELOCATE. Any info on the Colombia?

I totally agree the less mainstreatm publicity the better.There is already to much American influence affecting Costa Rica as it is. We need as little US media exposure as possibe, period.rbc100

Boys, if it isn't CR it will be another place. Maybe the new exposure will bring a plane full or 20. Think of it as an oportunity to search new fields. Somewhere different until the heat dies down.

DR, ABC islands, Rio, Panama, Bogota, Cali, Lima, BA.

Things have a way of returning to balance.

Those who own CR related businesses that would benefit from the exposure, are not only going to welcome it, but will seek it out and exploit it for all it's worth regardless. This is one of the more simple laws of human nature. If it doesn't happen today, it will tomorrow. I'm not going to try to buck the tide myself; I'm planning to get on the boat.

OK my two cents. As far as bringing sexetra to the CRT Party (HELL NO) I would have to agree with the others and say that would bring too much unwanted attention. The more low key we keep our hobby the less chance problems. How many of us have family or friends that watch that show? I can think of few that probably do that I would want to know why I go to CR.

Then there is the other side of it. All of the hard partiers that will catch on and say “Hey CR for Babes and Brew”. Most of which would fall into the “Ugly A$$hole” category. These unmotivated, uneducated, rude, dishonorable, Drains of life, will flock to CR and turn it into what most of us hope it will never become.

And I’m not completely against others learning about CR, but let them research it and find out all of the goodies themselves. Publicizing it on TV invites the kind of people that just want information handed to them, they have no drive to find places like CR on their own because they’re too lazy to do the research and want everything handed to them. Sure you will get a group of cool guys that are gentlemen and won’t cause a ruckus every time they are feeling there oats. But not many.

I almost fear that the section on Kumar will do this on its own. Especially if back room details are brought up. Hell the lap dances alone will be motivation enough. But at least they will have to do the research on the rest.

Who knows maybe I’m just being a selfish, nervous, pathetic whiner. I just wanted to say something of this subject. Just an opinion. After my next trip in August I thing I’m going to try a new venue. I grow tired of the occasional sausage-fest in CR as it is, which sucks because I like hanging with the group. Other than that good luck Smutpeddler.

This is just incorrect. In the long run, this could greatly hurt business affilianted with the LOCAL sex trade, as the moralistic US government seeks to pressure developing counties to bow down to its morialistic tendencies....
