On my last trip I brought some cheap little trinkets, small stuffed animals, body lotions and clothing items (shirts/ found on closeout). I give each gal something when they left and was never ask for a tip. They all left happy. A spent under $25 for the whole lot. Most of them actually wore the shirts out when we left.

I read about some of our fellow members trading “items” for entertainment. I have a couple MP3 players I bought after Christmas for under $10 each. I plan to loan them with Chica music before I leave. What is the best trade you have made with a Tica?

I negotiated a TLN for $100 bucks and a pink pig lighter. The chicas loved it and they all wanted it. A gringo at SL tried slipping it into his pocket, jokingly though. I picked the lighter up at a gas station, it's one of those impulse products they have at the register. It was a very cool light. You slide his little red hat back and flames come out of both his nostrils and he squeals like a pig.

On one of my trips I brought a penguin lighter that flashes all kinds of colored lights when you lit a cigarette, same situation with the chicas. I gave it away to a chica who I talked to for about three hours in the Del Rey. She offered to give me money so I can purchase one and mail it to her when I got back to the states. As I was leaving I gave it to her and thanked her for the company, she was so freakin' excited. I was not interested in hooking up with her just some good ol' converstation.

Someone posted awhile ago that he brought some cheap 25$ mp3 players and traded them for sessions. He hooked them up with small travel speakers and played some songs on them. The girls noticied them and traded sex for a cheap mp3 player. Pretty smart guy.

Not many ticos have mp3 players and they are pretty expensive down here.

Thing to remember is while these chicas have very mature bodies many of them are still very childish mentally.

They will watch Ch*ldren's cartoons for hours on the TV so little Ch*ld like gifts such as stuffed animals, pig lighters, things that light up and flash are the things that they like the most. Think anything that a gringa would throw back at you and scream how could you give her such a worthless gift will excite the average working chica.

If you do a search under my name you'll find my trip reports and you'll see what I did with the MP3s and travel speakers. Just make sure that you let them make the ouvertures. Your job is to make sure they notice the toys. Then they believe they're playing you instead of the other way around.I made out like a bandit (if you'll pardon the pun) for next to nothing on my last trip. planning on doing something similar on my upcoming trip.

Here are a few things I know they love, but are not available to them at all or are not affordable. : Portable CD players like a walkman.... Name brand make-up from the US. .... Hair dryers , Curling irons with attachments .... Sexy thong bikinis .... cheap digital cameras .... posters to hang on thier walls .... body lotions .... pocket books & backpacks. .... I have brought most of these things with me and my novia loves this kind of stuff. If the girl smokes pot then she will also love anything from abroad that has bob marley or a pot leaf on it. Don't waste your $ on jewelry. Most of them are scared to wear it and prefer the trinkets you see in every gift shop.

Gift giving amounts to gringa training and when they graduate from gringa training watch out.

The mp3 thing is a good idea though if you can get an even exchange. Stuffed animals, sexy underwear.... gringa training. Seriously, they are more than happy with the money alone so why bother?

what makes it worth while is the perception of value. of course they're happy with money, but what we're looking at here (or what we should be looking at) is not gifts in addition to money, it's gifts instead of money. I've gotten what we would consider $100+ ( their perceived value) for $25 ( my perceived, $100 their perceived) value, with all parties walking away happy. That's what makes the difference. It's not about cheating them (per se), since clearly the price for chicas varies widely, but rather what they believe or perceive that they are receiving from you.

If you can make a $100 chica happy for $25 then why not? Everybody's happy, and there's extra green in your jeans.

Really, seriously, that is a great idea to bring a few cheapo (when purchased in USA) MP3's playas with earbuds to give away to certain girls! Just might do that myself!

I remember my first CR trip back in '02, I had a basic "backup" CD-only player with me along with my primary MP3. My chica-de-moment was eyeing it sadly and asked, almost begged for it. I relented and she happily jumped me and we had another great session. I forget all the details, but overall we had 3 or 4 hours together and 2 or 3 pops instead of the negotiated short-time and single pop. Happier girl equals better sexo. And girls love surprises too. So really, value and service-wise, it was a good move.

In a similar situation but with a potential LTR non-pro girl I realize it would be a very bad idea to give in to such a demand, setting a bad precedent of "you must give me something or no sexo".

But if gifting "gringa-izes" a working girl, well, that sadly is the probably the least of her issues in the long run.
