The other day there were some comments about the loss of network stations here in Costa Rica. It,s true, the switch to digital format came as a suprise to everyone. However, besides being a farmer, I am a supplier of electronics to Cable Tica. Today, they ordered thier digital receivers to correct the situation. I assume Amnet is doing the same. It should take about a week to 10 days to have the receivers here and installed. Just wanted to pass this info along.

Thanks for the info Tuanis. Do not know about Cable Tica but on AMNET the networks were putting a message on the screen about every 15 minutes advising the cable company they were going digital for a least 10 days before they did so have to disagee that it came as a surprise to everyone.

For the cable providers to wait until it happened to order the correct equipment is kind of poor planning. Since AMNET has restored CBS and ABC on Monday it appears they were quicker to act than Cable Tica but still were slow.
