Last evening I stopped over at the SL to meet some of the guys that were staying there. It was a pleasure meeting Mendobrew,Muffdiver and the others whom I don't remember their names. (sorry) When I was leaving to go back to the DR a chica that I had seen many times at the DR was walking out at the same time.I asked her is she would like a ride in my taxi to the DR and she gladly accepted. Then she says something not very nice about the guy who just stood her up at the SL. She tells me that he set up a date for 7pm.She showed up before that and waited an hour and HE NO-SHOWED HER. Now we all have had the unpleasent experience of being stood up by a chica. Maybe some guys are just as bad.After all the chicas are there to make a living.

I can't blame the chicas and gringos for standing anyone up in Costa Rica. There is so much going on and it seems that everyone is living for the moment. The standing someone up is usually not done intentionally. It's easy to make plans/appointments but very freakin' diffiuclt at times to keep 'em. On one of my trips I told one of my favoritas that I would meet her at noon at the DR, she is a really pretty and sweet chica. Well the next morning I wake up and walk over the ZB and end up meeting a few CRT bros and was having a great time I had to pass on meeting up with the chica. I figure she's is the DR and if I don't show up she's already at work.

Lots of guys have given me numbers of their favoritas, but when I get to Costa Rica I can never find the time to call them. especially when i'm in the DR all day and night checking out the chica who are working right now.

It's always been difficult for me to follow through... it's an adventure best lived for in the moment.

VegasBob, I will meet you at ZB at noon today and buy you a drink or two. :lol:

I think it is just plain rude for someone to make an
appointment and not show up, or at least call and
leave a message if they are going to be more
than 15 minutes late. After 15 minutes all bets
are off, if they do not call, and any agreement
to me would be void.

I agree with Shy One. I remember I rec'd a call from a chica telling me she was running late. I was stunned. Some (very few) do call. I have some buddies that stand them up all the time. I think that is very rude.

I think the remarkable part of VB's story is not that the guy truly stood her up, but rather the fact the the chica not only showed up ON TIME, but EARLY, and waited an HOUR......?

whatever happened to Tica Time? Could be a quality girl, showing and waiting like that 8)

It would take me no showing a lot of times to match all the little darlings broken appointment promises.....

but yes, I have been guilty of no showing......usually without repercussion since the little darling never showed either......

Shit happens in CR just like TP said and besides we need to keep these Ticas feeling unsure of us or else they will get a gringa mentality and gringa expectations!

LOL...you said a mouthful, there! Maybe Admin1 should consider linking a sister site, COSTARICAGRINGOS.COM, to this one. That way, the girls could have their own accounts...and wouldn't have to bother CRT members for their user names and passwords! :twisted:

I know chicas do it all the time, but that is not an excuse for no showing a young lady. I was in the lobby of the Presidente late one morning killing time before a flight home. There was a cute little tica sitting on one of the couches, with her luggage next to her. Since she was cute I ended up talking with her. She had been waiting for almost two hours for a gringo that had promised the night before to take her to the beach for a few days. I felt really bad for her, wished I could have stayed and taken her myself.

The guy might have had a bunch of excuses, like changing his mind after sobering up. However, there is little excuse for not at least telling her face to face what was up.

Don't give the Chicas Ideas. Imagine if they had a website it would be Pictures of the biggest suckers they scammed, how much they bilked him for & who are the softies. :) And lets don't forget they would have a special section on how to best write the most effective RFM known to man kind.
