My normal login experience is this:
Go to home page
Login - Accepts Login
Go to Discussion Forum
Not logged in
Login - Does not accept Login
Login again - Logged into Discussion Forum

Although it is a hassle to login in three times, what I do not like is after the third time the Time Now = Time Last Visited. What this does is make it so there are "0" Posts Since Last Visit.

It seems the only way to prevent this is to delete cookies prior to each session. Does anyone else have this problem?

We have looked very carefully at this issue. It does not pertain to everyone...

It is one of two things... a Cookie / Privacy setting within Internet Explorer Service pack 2... IT DOES not happen with firefox or any other browswer so we are 99% sure its the above.

Or.. A setting within your virus protection or Firewall... it is the 1st item we are pretty sure is the cause..

Do I have a step by step solution no sorry.

Try this and let me know if it helps. I had the same problem for a while, so I was trying different things. This works, I haven't had to log-in in a while.

Using Internet Explorer (SP2):

-Go to Tools --> Internet Options -->

1. Delete temporary internet files
2. Delete cookies

-Delete all CRT bookmarks that you currently have.

-Then go to the forum, log-in as VIP, and make sure you check the box "remember me" or whatever it says.

-After you log in to the forum as VIP, go to the Forum main page (forum index). Then bookmark it.

(Make sure you bookmark the site AFTER you log into VIP. The bookmark should be something like this: https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/index. ... xx456xxx65 bunch of letters and numbers will follow the site URL)

Because, if you just bookmark (www.costaricaticas.com), you will have to log-in each time.

After that, you just need to follow the bookmark to access the forum. You will be logged in as VIP each time.

Orange,

Thanks for the info.
Followed your instructions. Now my link goes directly to the forum page, but still does not log me in.
Not a big problem since IE saves my username when I click on the space, and my password is auto filled.
Only have to login once and the Time Now does not equal Time Last Visited so I can now View Post Since Last Visit.
Much better than before.
Thanks
