I realize that Costa Rica is not a throw away society such as ours. I'm wondering if any of you know of a repair shop where one could get a small boombox (Radio, CD Player) fixed ? I brought on down last year for my apartment, but don't want to go thru that hastle again.

I know there is a Radio Shack near the gulch and wonder if anyone had any experience with getting something repaired.

If repair is not possible, anyone know of a retail store where one might purchase a cheap boombox which includes a CD Player.

Gracias

Take a ride to Mall San Predo and there are a couple of stores in the 2nd and 3rd floor which might help you out. I remember that one is named "Sharper(s)".
Even though it was just 48 hrs I was able to do a little real shopping.

On avenida segunda between calle 4 y 6 there is, on the south side, an arcade that runs all the way through to avenida 4. It is 2 or 3 floors filled with small repair shops. Perhaps one of those might be able to help you.

I do not think any of the Radio Shacks in Costa Rica offer repair services.
