Naranja,
- It's gonna hurt like hell! :P
- There's gonna be a lot of blood! :P
- You won't be able to ph*ck for at least 2 years! :P
- Your juevos are gonna swell up like honeydew melons! :P
- They're gonna have to shave you bald! :P
- You're gonna lose 17.4% of the sensation in your little head! :P
- They're gonna have to (finally) circumsize you while they're at it! :P
- After the surgery, you're going to have veracose veins in your pecker! :P
- They're going to use monofiliament fishing line for the stitches! :P
- The scar will go from your 'nads to your nipples! :P
- Prior to the hernia surgery, it is standard procedure for them to do a Colonoscopy first! :P
- Depending on how bad your hernia is, they might have to give you 3 suppositories, and a barrium enema! :P
- The fatality rate of this type of surgery is 4.6%! :P
- Due to the nature of your injury caused by your wreckless mongering activities, your insurance co-pay will only cover 20% of the cost of the surgery. :P

But the good news is...........
I saved a boatload of money on my insurance by calling GEICO!

Orange,
All kidding aside, I consider you a true friend, and I'm glad you're having the surgery, and not me!
Buena Suerte Mi Naranja Amigo!
Mikey-B

What is your objection to laproscopic surgery Paco?

I had laproscopic surgery, for a different procedure, and it reduced pain level enormously and shortened both my hospital stay and recovery time by half over the traditional slice open the abdomen method.

Juicer,

You screwed around and strained your milk
And now you've got a painful lump
Your surgeon works as smooth as silk
And soon you'll be back on the hump!

Hint: Hot times with young nurses often start with an enema, and end with romance! Buck up, li'l soldier...you'll come through this just fine.

Salud!

P.

ID, Orange asked me the same thing & I PM'd him my experience with my 3 surgeries, the Lap. didn't hold for me and had to have another surgery a year later, the Doc. said we could try Lap. again or just cut me open (2" scar) and get in there with the mesh and fix it for good, which we did. Then a couple years later I got one on the other side and my new Dr. suggested Lap. I said hell no, cut me open put the mesh in and be done with it, he agreed that was best.
I'm no Dr. and surely the technology has improved and number of recurrences is smaller than it was a few years ago. Didn't mean to scare anyone...

I don't think you scared anyone I was just interested in your reasoning since I had such good luck with the laproscopic procedure. Admittedly it was for a much different procedure and if not done laproscopically would have entailed major abdominal surgery. I also was fortunate to have the former head of the gastroenterology section of the Univ. of Miami School of Medicine (GO CANES!) as my surgeon. Interestingly he lectures on laproscopic procedure in CR to CR surgeons at I believe both Clinica Biblica and Hospital CIMA.

Whatever procedure your surgeon chooses good luck Orange and a quick recovery.
