I discovered Costa Rica last year, sept 18 was my first day in the DR. It's been six months and five trips now for me. And i must say it sure as heck has been interesting hanging out in CR, meeting gringos, chicas and more interesting has been all the stories i've heard in such a short span of time. Gringos flying to another country to pay for sex, for a plethora of reasons. Chicas working at HDR for a plethora of reasons. YOu think you've heard every story regarding love and sex but then you meet a gringo who tells you "his story" usually with a straight face, like he never saw it coming. All to often mongers are delusional about what's going on down there. I don't blame them, because we're all looking for love, not necessary with a female, just want someone to share your life with. And hanging in CR can distort your senses.

Anyways, I'd like to hear your story and/or a story that you have heard regarding a gringo a chica regarding love and sex...

Below is a story i posted in another thread that i'd like to start with here...


"i know a chica who didn't work for a month because some gringo told her he was coming back for her and didn't want her working anymore. she didn't work, I know this for a fact, anyways she made some plata taking care of other working girls bebe's. well the gringo got into some trouble in the states and is not allowed to leave the country. He's locked up for three years. This chica is starving and has bills to pay and doesn't want to work because she is in love with this gringo and said she will wait for him to come back. Not all chicas are hardcore, they have feelings, and sometimes those feeling can be overwhelming and all consuming. This chica has told her father and mother all about this gringo... how she is going to marry him and have his bebes. " - Traylor Park

In regards to your request for chica/gringo love stories (or relationships), there are literally thousands and thousands of stories that we could all share. But I'd be willing to bet that the common denominator of all the stories would be the probability and/or inevitability of failure. It's unfortunate, but it seems to be a fact.

Everything I've ever seen, heard and read about living "happily ever after" with a latina always seems to end the same. IMHO, enjoy the fantasy on a short-term basis. The longer it goes on, the more likely you are to become a common statistic. (and this is coming from an M-Man)! Just throwin' in my dos colones....... :roll:

I know a ton of guys that have wonderful long term relationships with foriegn born latinas. Many live in the girls country and a bunch bring the girls to the US. For sure I know alot of these couples have failed also, but a large percentage work out great.

I think it's a little like real estate, location, location, location. If you meet a girl from the DR or the gulch or a pro or a semi-pro, you are going to have a tiny, tiny almost impossible chance of having things work out. Both sets of people in this scenario will likely have issues that will make a long term thing impossible. That's how it's supposed to be though, these girls aren't there for long term, they are there for very, very short term. For some reason alot of guys insist on trying to make a square block fit through a round hole in this environment.

If on the other hand, you get out of the gulch, make some real Tico friends, get exposed to thier culture and get introduced by them or a friend to a girl or woman they know from a good family with a career and/or very good morals and upbringing you have a much, much better chance of a happy, successful LTR if that is what you are looking for.

I agree to a certain extent. It's definitely possible to have a LTR with a Latina, but my comments were geared towards having a successful LTR with a "working" chica.

This thread started out with Traylor Park conveying a story about a "working" chica who fell in love with a gringo, and stopped working because of him, waiting for him to return (see quote above). It is in this instance where I was referring to the relationship being doomed (because of her 'working girl' status). As with everything......YMMV !

I'm aware of the fact that there are a million stories regarding gringos getting involved (falling in love) with working girls... I would like to hear some of the stories and or anecdotes regarding gringos and chicas.

Life is always stranger than fiction... let's hear your story.

Now this doesn't mean you have to be the person in said story... just tell me a story.

OK.....Let me think! I met this chica during the day at the Blue Marlin...no it was at the Sportsman's lodge...damn, no it wasn't. A crt guy introduced me wait........different beginning but the same ending.......

Okay, I met a tica at the SL took her to my room, had sex, I paid her and we were both happy. End of story. :lol:
