So, philosophically speaking, if an SJO taxi driver doesn't stop at a red light, does it mean that it wasn't there? I mean, if some people stop it obviously exists for them, but for others it's like it doesn't exist at all, and all at the same location. Could this explain why some taxi drivers don't know where anything is? is it because these locations(and some of the aformentioned stop lights)don't exist in the parallel universe in which they live? Do they wonder why they are taking crazy gringos to a big empty place with nothing there?
in a corollary to this statement, does this explain why some chicas charge so much and some others don't? And why some chicas will smile and beguile you while to others you don't exist? maybe it's because you really don't exist to them! Clearly the colombianas live in a universe parallel to the other girls, where people are richer and the dollar is worth less. this would go a long way to explaining some of the apparent pricing inequities (and the difference in bust size).
Of course, if we're able to see in both universes at once then we must live in both of them simultaneously, and the premise that we are torn between the latin world and the North American world is faulty, because we are in fact torn between the latin world, the alternate latin world, and the NA world. If we could all just adjust our thinking and our vision, and control our minds, thinking only with the big head and not the little one we could live exclusively in the world in which the DR is always cheap. An end to griping, and a complete disappearance of all drunken, overpaying gringos! Paradise!Clearly this astounding ability to control our minds and perceptions is beyond most of us, but I know that a few of the savvier gurus in here have managed it. No wonder I have a headache!
I'd better go get another drink.
