Gentlemen, The word got out to our local friends at the San Jose Municipalidad...These fine gentlemen paid us a visit with the exact info we put out on how our Private Party will work....The Sportsmens Lodge management was informed that pre-selling tickets/invitations is fine but sales or "DISTRIBUTION" of liquor on the three dry days of the National Elections is illegal and they will be here to enforce the law. So therefore one change to the event...no pre-selling of tickets for c20,000 or $40. All prepaid tickets will be refunded to customers once presented to our front desk. It’s BYOB for all guests and order direct from the menu for mixes for drinks or food. The show will be the same as planned with no cover charge. Please buy your liquor by Friday night here locally by 10;00pm or from Duty Free on the way out of the U.S. and bring your own to the Party. It will start at 1:30 as planned and all the other scheduled events stated below are on with no cover charge. Dancing by the Sportsmens Lodge dancing girls. The game on American Satellite TV in English raffles football squares prizes Sports Book wagers Sportsmens Lodge favorite girls will be invited for the party. Sorry for the late change, however we simply cannot take the chance to lose our liquor license for any period of time. Our previous reading of the Local Laws did not state the word DISRIBUTION as now how we read it. Regards, Bill Alexander Sportsmens Lodge |

There will be no cover charge. The game will be on in English, and mixers and food will be for sale, Alexander said. Last year, a similar shindig drew some 170 persons. This year, Alexander is expecting more despite the alcohol ban, he said.

Would not depend on an article in AM Costa Rica reaching to many chicas. It is an online english language paper and most chicas do not have a computer and even if they do they do not read english language news. Hopefully guys going to the affair have spread the word. |
