Berk gives a good prospective from a different angle, one that might not be what you want to hear but in my opinion he gives a more accurate account to what reality is in CR than many others. Just because he posts another view point why would you feel the need to tell him to go away? Give me a break! With so many CRT members you might read something you don’t agree with, my suggestion to you is to get thicker skin. He sure seemed to make a solid point to CRT Brother Orange. I’m glad to hear people called out who think they can throw rocks while living in a glass house.

You can't just group all chicas into one category, just like you can't lump all the guys on this board (or in all of CR) into one category.

There are some VERY honest chicas in CR - one of them has disappeared from the SL if some of you have noticed because she IS with a gringo BF and WON'T work nor take advantage of him.

She is taking care of her k!ds at home. Her mother doesn't know that she stopped working (which is ironic considering her mom when ballistic when she heard she WAS working).

Then there are others who tell the tall tales. They are victims of their environs/family/social structure in the poverty stricken pueblos.

In either case, being courteous and kind to either extreme or any chica in between NEVER hurt anyone. So you're out $100. Maybe she blew it up her nose, maybe she gave it to her husband (I know of at least one who has to do that or face a beating most likely) but there ARE those who will take that money and then take the next 2 nights off to be with their k!ds. However, that $100 isn't going to "save" them for good.

They don't parlay it into $10,000 over at the casino.

IF you speak Spanish, you can really get to know these chicas and find out the good and the bad. Its the same in Colombia, the Dominican, Argentina, Brazil, etc.

There are some serious scumbag guys around too. That's why the chicas have to keep up THEIR guard no matter who they are, just like guys have to keep up theirs until you get to know someone.

I don't think "most" would do something different. I believe many are choosing to do that full or part time. How many times have guys set these girls up in apartments and funds flowing from the states just to have them take it and still go back to HDR. Some of them like that lifestyle to a certain degree IMHO.

I asked my girl and before her a close friend of hers about their work? Both formerly worked at HLH before the name change and handicap ramps. And now can be seen most nights at SL or DR.

I ask my girl if the girls really like their work or hated their work?

She flat out told me that most of the girls really do like the excitment and thrill that comes with having men from all over the world visit their small country looking for them because of their beauty and availabilty. They feel that it is a privilage to be spoiled for their beauty by different men at different times of their life (short time or long time). Why work hard if youre given practically anything you want because of your beauty and body!

My girl said sometimes they reach. Sometimes they dont. This was the case with all the girls that I asked.
I asked how long they planned to be in the business?
Both answered that they did not know?
After these and many other relevant questions. I knew why girls go back to work after marriages, engagements, being minatained, being payed not to work (some continue to work even when payed not to because they like it!

The women that I have met in CR that dont work in the industry despise the girls (chicas) that do. When speaking with non pros I dont even bring up the name Del Rey in conversation.

I for one do not feel that many of the girls are forced into the industry. I feel its a choice. And most are comfortable with their fate (calling).

Same scenario here in the states.

Women have a choice to become a stripper or flip burgers. What would you do. Stripping is frowned upon but pays good. Flippin burgers pays cheap and is respectable in some quarters.

Me myself if I had not the position that I have in this life would probably be a stripper too if that was my only option! And I think I would enjoy it!

I met a 19yo tica two years ago in her first week at the DR. Not being as noble as Sonny, I negociated her cein request down to 70 and took her to the Presidente for a night of gfe bliss. I kept her with me that trip for my last three days. She went to the DR to be able to pay for English lessions to work at a call center to better herself. Needless to say I could not let this prime speciman return to the DR so I paid her school directly for the year and hlf it took to get the skills in order. She now has a job that supports herself and her son. She tells me the first time going to the DR was the hardest thing she ever did. I know alot of the chicas have oppisite motivations for going there . The point of my story is that the girls are all different so we can't lump them all together. I guess I cock-blocked my Crt brothers, but am I sorry? Hell no. I still see her every couple of months when I come down,besides that no RFMs or drama.

I think we all look at things through our own lenses on life and we tend to make generalities and lump people together when in fact there are multitudes of factors and motivations that make up any one person's perspective. For every girl like the one in the story there is an opposite. Everyone of them like everyone of us is an individual. I am not saying there are no hustlers, scam artist or plain out right thieves working SJ. I think we all know that there are. Some of these girls are cut throats. Others are not. I suggest dealing with not just the girls but everyone you meet as an individual. When someone needs a hand... Extend one.

Guys, there is a new class of graduating 18 year olds every day! What one monger does with one chica really has no bearing on the scene as a whole. You could remove 100 chicas today and no one would notice tomorrow unless their favoritas were in the withdrawal.

Anybody arguing that this is "C*ck blocking" is really digging deep to try to find an argument. Get real! In all likelihood she was right back in the HDR within a few days. If not, several others took her place and she won't be missed!

Good points. The lifestyle is something they don't have access to otherwise. I imagine it's a tough industry to quit. That's why so many have the quick early peak followed by the long decline with nothing to show for it in the end except maybe an STD, a habit and some more niños. I'm not saying all of them but a high percentage.

There's plenty of older threads on whether the chicas are ruined forever once they've tasted the forbidden fruit of hooking. And for every one who tries this, there are 99 who would never consider it regardless of their economic situation.

I don't know the answers to any of these questions. All I can say is: 50, please don't become a stripper
