You've brought up that fact that he suckered many of us, numerous times since his "immaculate disappearance." Let it go. It's ancient history, and nothing can be done to change the past. Chi...you and I have been around and around about this for years. We have settled our differences so I'll try to explain to cut this off before someone gets banned.

You know I was one of Boyd's biggest supporters right up to being the last person to talk to him before he left last July 4th. Heck, I shared an apartment with him and his girl for a year. I heard the story of the problems between you two from each of you separately and together. And yet, I was still fooled. I admit, Boyd was not what I thought he was, he was always honest with me, but obviously not with several others. I don't think there is a person on this board that would still stick up for him.

You were proven right but many of us who were fooled, and I don't think I am stupid or a sheep that blindly followed along, hate to keep hearing about it. I was made a fool of, never something someone wants to relive over and over again.

I'm proud of anyone who can live here and make a good life for himself so all respect from me and best wishes in everything you do!

I too was a big supporter of Boyd, but he as stated was confidence man who
has deceived many people. These type people exist in great numbers. Many scammers
such as the bigs boys in the investment business have scammed millions away from
innocent people. They will pay for their misdeeds. Perhaps not in this life. I know some people have an axe to grind about Boyd and I do not blame them for being angry. I have read the Facts of Chi 's about Boyd but I
resent being called a fool or a sheep. I select my friends based on how they present themselves and how they treat their fellow man. perhaps we were misled but that does not make us stupid idiot's. I never put myself in the position of being scammed. Business and Recreation is not the same thing. When you work you work and when you play you play. They do not mix. I saw the downfall of Boyd before he departed because of his habits at work. Forgive us for those who trespass against up or Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. Those statements mean a lot in this life. I agree that Boyd did wrong but since it no longer affects us as Mongers the axe needs to be buried.

Obviously, we can agree that the Boyd experience is one none of us would like to repeat. However, the above five statements are personal attacks, i.e. name calling. It's the perfect example of the type of behavior that is not allowed on the forum.

I'm sure Chi_trekker could have easily made his point without insulting the people that were victimized by Boyd's actions. It's never productive to call someone names because they made a bad decision, and got taken advantage of by someone they trusted.

So, while acknowledging he was right about Boyd, and that he has a valid point for wanting to be cautious in the future, I am going to ask Chi_trekker to apologize for calling people names.

At the same time, I would like to thank everyone else who has shown restraint and not fired back with insults that would have degraded the thread further.
