Ok, enough said. Here is my short term plan.... I'll end my portion of the thread here. Long term plan....I'll let you all know how it goes. VB's last post is correct, I did buy the ring and I did send money. But, the money sent surely couldn't have been enough to make a big deal out of. Once in July for bday $200..once in August I gave EXTRA money for services. I was there in August and went to assist in the cell bill. Holy sh*t they can run up the phone bills. BTW that was $200. All the international calls were to me and to the Dominican, I saw the bill. And, once this October for her last months rent before leaving to the DR. That's it...I'm sorry to have been such an idiot and deserve all the public critisizm that I receive. I bow my head and walk away in disgrace. Please find me the nearest box of tissues so I can cry my eyes out. Witling, thank you for your offer. I may just PM you on that. I have read your posts and know that you have experience in these matters. Peace brothers and maybe I'll run into you all in CR next visit. Oh, and to all of you who were following this thread I am most sorry to you that I'm ending it here. Some of you probably were genuinely interested in hearing it. Unfortunately, you know how things go on boards like this. IF anyone out there cares to hear let me know. But, in the meantime you should all go on ph*cking the chicas as if they are bangable corpses. Makes life much easier.....trust me on that one.

Dapanz 1 I agree with the King. It is a big world out there and we do not all live the same life. As I have stated many times before I'm not into this girlfriends thing. I love your statement about bangable corpses. I do prefer mine animated. But I agree with the king that you should tell your story. As the author your only responsible for the facts if you get that right anything anyone says about it is just their opinion. Personally I figure your out of your mind. I have met you and your girl you seem to be a very levelheaded intelligent and not bad looking young man. So I figure there is only one reason you'd be going through this. You have not yet reached a point in your life where you have given up on love and replaced it with sex for the fun of it.
Well-positioned younger man like you and lurker have led very fulfilling lives the only real thing that's missing is love. You came to Costa Rica as a way of consoling yourself over what was missing in your
life. And low and behold on every corner there's beautiful young girls willing to fill that void in your life. If I look honestly and deeply into my past if this was the 1970s I can see myself falling for that game. So give us the story! I can't run track anymore but I still like to watch.
My personal story about the way I am in Costa Rica has all to do with where I am in my life. My suggestion to anyone reading this is that unless you fall into my set of standards stay out of San Jose.
1: Stay out of San Jose unless you are a 57-year-old little skinny guy with gray hair and glasses. That way when some drop dead gorgeous little 20-year-old looks up at you with tears in her eyes and says she cannot stand the thought of you leaving you can laugh right in her face and say sweetheart I know it's my money you're going to mess and not me.
2: Stay out of San Jose if you know any Spanish at all. If you do not have a clue what they're talking about it cannot have that effect on you.
3: Stay out of San Jose unless you have an uncanny ability to forget names faces dates. That way even if you like them you can't remember which one they were.

If Dapanz wants to finish his never begun trip report, that is up to him. As somebody who has let it ALLLLL hang out in a trip report only to be ripped to shreds by a few low life losers, I understand his hesitancy.

I do think King Costa is on to something with this thread, and that is the falacy that a monger can go to CR....find the chica of his dreams in the Del Rey, and somehow convince her to stop working there. I don't think that is ever gonna happen. I also think it is a falacy for guys to get jealous when they think their hottie is banging somebody else. Why get jealous. They do this for a living. If they didn't YOU would never have been with her.

Why is it so hard for a chica to stop working at the Rey?

1) The money is just too good to walk away from. Even if you are supporting her, that is a fraction of what she could get just by putting on a skimpy mini-skirt and walking in that bar.

2) The ego thing. I know that Cristal got off on the idea that she could pretty much PICK the guy she wanted. I watched her do it on my last trip. She would scan the crowd....pick out the gringo she wanted....and go up to snag him. Few guys could withstand her gaze. Once she turned it on...she owned him. It was a game to her. She played it with her dominicana girl friends. She would say....watch this. BANG. She had one. In a strange way it made her feel special....feel worthy....feel wanted.

3) The sex. Some of these babes really do like sex. Cristal would play with herself when I was screwing her. She was just horny all the time. She liked guys with big dicks. Why? YOU figure it out! She made fun of guys with little dicks.

4) She has fun sitting there with her girl friends having guys by her drinks. You think she ever paid for a drink??? SHe gets to sit on her ass, Phuck around with her girl friends....get buzzed....listen to music....maybe go over to Key Largo and dance a little....have sex....and get paid for it. She considers it her "trabajo." Nice work if you can get it.

5) The Stigma is over. Once a chica starts working in the Del Rey, she loses that stigma that kept her out in the first place. Every chica I have ever talked to said she was sick to her stomach the first night she worked there....but it went away by the next night. Many of the girls live in poor neighborhoods where there is a stigma attached to being a puta. Once word is out in the barrio that you are going to the Del Rey you are an outcast. Then your only friends are the other chicas that also work there. Once they make that mental leap to the idea that they are prostitutes, it becomes a LOT easier to keep going back.

6) The family supports the idea. Soon the chica is paying mom's rent. You think MOM wants to lose her gravy train? I remember calling a chica's aunt...where the girls lives. The aunt starts asking me if her niece gives good blow jobs. I said "si si" but I was shocked. The chica then asked me to stop talking to her Aunt about her blow jobs. (but they were awesome.)

You can take a chica out of the Del Rey but you can't take the Del Rey out of the chica. They always go back!

You started this thread knowing that you would probably get a great deal of abuse. You were willing to accept that and tell everyone how you feel and show the group how these types of relationships develop. I give you a tremendous amount of credit for this.This input was to help everyone in addition to you. You got involved in a give and take instead of telling your story first as you intended.Perhaps we could all benefit if you would now tell the story from the beginning.

I was going to post this last night then I decided to delete it.

I forgot to include it in my previous post and in good conscience I feel I must throw it in to the mix.

The prostitution angle of this story is minor when compared to her being deceitful. That is a trait I cannot abide by in a person whether it be a friend, co-worker or girlfriend but especially a wife.

Dapanz, I know of your chica and she is no doubt a bonita hardbody and met you briefly one trip. You may know of the thread in the VIP forum I started about long term relationships and the possibilities of marriage so I too am interested in your story. I have an amigo that has gone down the same path, and am still watching the drama unfold.
We sat next to a guy on the plane ride down that claimed to be on his 50th trip in 20 yrs, he was married, 2 K*ds in the states but absolutely in love with a chica in CR and had been seeing her for 2 yrs. He said he was well-off, bought a house in CR for her and enjoyed every minute together. His last trip was for 21 days and he never tired of being with her (which is hard to imagine.) He told us if you ever find a chica like that- to go for it. A romantic fantasy? Probably, but why not have fun while you can, if you feel that way with your lady then go for it, it's your life. However the warnings are many and success rates few for such relationships.
And of course you know a few of the LAL guys will slam any of us that do anymore than kick them out the door after the hour is up, they don't understand desiring anything more than a quickie.
I am working on my report from the weekend, I met a chica Sun. that absolutely blew me away and I will probably catch some crap from my GFE report. VB saw her, a newbie in the DR that could be a model. I swear if I was rico I would send her money to stay out of that place-WHY? Because thanks to Astro willing to post his story of Cristal who was just as sweet and innocent at first, this chica will most likely become a ruined, lying, heartless puta within 6 months. I now understand his wanting to "save" her from what she would become. When you find one like this it seems the only choice is to go for it and spend time/money on her or step back and watch her become ruined. Either way it will be heartbreaking, so I always choose to end it quickly. It's probably a good thing my trip ended as soon as it did because I would be with her every day. In order to post all the details and to protect the security of certain characters, my report will be in the VIP forum.

Paco...Many of us have the desire to "save" these girls from their professions. But as the good preacher knows...you cant save those who dont want to be "saved" . I Still say though there ARE many potentially healthy GFs in Costa Rica and throughout LatAm. It's just that you have to date and woo them much like we all did in our earlier single days before knowing about the "Delrey" . Most guys on this board are just getting too lazy and cynical to go after regular "real thing" girls...when they can have the toy/fantasy for $50 an hour. Well, I have certainly received support in some unlikely places. Through the posts and through several PM's. The story is much easier to tell as a "from the beginning" story. So, I may reconsider my position. But, as to the "slant" from some members it seems that I will be telling a heart wrenching story of another chica deceiving a gringo. Maybe in SOME ways I have been deceived...but I've always been a "big picture" kind of a guy. Meaning that ALL factors need to be evaluated and MY JUDGEMENT is the only one that really matters. Right or wrong it's my judgement that counts. Lee, you are correct, as long as I present the facts then it's only others OPINIONS. I want to preface my next post by saying that I will be presenting the FACTS as they occured and NOT whether or not I believed them. Fast forward to the end of the story, the girl IS home and IS NOT on the program in the DR. If she is then she is operating on a level that not even I can comprehend. She must be taking her mom and son on appointments.

Way to go.... the jury is still out on your story as it is an ongoing saga and interesting material. I will bet you at least 100 board readers are experiencing similar stories right now.

As I requested earlier.. all bashers hold your posts and let him tell his story. I think he has heard enough about all the pitfalls.
This might just be the exception.

Dapanz, I agree with King that you should post your story, and I think we will watch your back to run off any assholes that want to take advantage.

King...I have changed my position a bit, somewhat closer to yours. This is due to the experience of watching Cristal turn from sweet and innocent to hard core puta in about 6 months. However...I still have the notion that you can handle a "novia like" relationship. I will explain at the bottom of this post.

I will have to say that she has taught me a lot of spanish in the last month since I returned. These daily chats have helped me immensely. So I look at this as a small investment in my spanish lessons, because the REAL way to learn spanish is to talk it everyday with somebody who not only speaks spanish but does not understand english very well. You kinda HAVE to learn to keep these conversations going. It's been very helpeful.

But I also try to keep this in perspective, and I would advice Paco and anybody else to do the same. Love them....but do NOT fall in LOVE with them. Guard your heart. Realize that it is not NORMAL for a hot little latina to fall for us and that they really are just after the security and the dinero. Just keep it in perspective if you decide to play this game....because getting too close to the fire can be VERY painful.

We're like the guy that juggles the fire sticks at the circus. We know...sooner or later, we are gonna grab the end of the stick that is on fire. Yikes it burns!
