Not very original, I saw that same poster/bumper sticker about 6 years ago re President Bush.

Sometimes it seems to me that people are loyal to their political affiliations like they are to their football or baseball team. Doesn't matter how bad they are or how much they suck, go Raiders! (Lions, whatever)

Well, I'm actually an Independent now. Both parties and most politicians in the US now are so corrupt it's pathetic. I thought Bush was an imbecile, and it was indeed his administration that started the bailouts of the banks, the stimulus packages, etc. But, it was Barney Frank who was much at fault regarding Freddie Mae, etc. While Bush was incompetent, at least he wasn't dangerous, unless you consider the war in Iraq a mistake, as many people do. The guy in the WH now in my opinion is dangerous to the future of the country. And, my God, Nancy Pelosi??!! Nancy Pelosi...Heaven help us!!!

Damn pops, you drunken windbag.

I thought that you were staying off this board and here you are causing problems again along with mumbling and groaning about national health care. Dry out, dry up and shut up....you tongue twisted fool. Things were relatively tranquil here until you waded your fat ugly ass in and began preaching about how the government was out to get you.

Hell, I hope they do get you and lock your filthy toxic ass up and throw away the key. Then your health care will be run by the government, har, har. And, after big bubba pops your butt in the shower you can then have a "government performed" hysterectomy....although it won't be a uterus they remove.

You are a sorry example to be chiding against government. Hell, you even stole mom's food stamps several times so you could buy beer and smokes. You have owed back taxes for years not to mention claiming your screwed up cat and your neighbor's two dogs as dependents. It's sorry asses like you that waste our taxes we pay. You even swiped a disabled person's handi-cap card for your old truck so you wouldn't have to park too far from the main door at BJ's saloon. That's right, since you are so pickled when leaving you can't find your truck.

As for health care, there are a lot of us younger guys who don't need it. We want to spend our money on a nice car, phucking women and traveling. I ain't paying the government for anything if I can help it.

And look at you ...you old fart. You're on Medicare.....that's a government run program. Yea, I know...they turned you down on certain medications and refused to pay your quack doctor for some tests you needed but that's life. They need to ration some things and not waste dinero on old creeps that may kick the bucket any day. Paying health care dollars for senior citizens is a waste of money. Maybe that's why the health care bill is taking billions out of Medicare. Fine with me...I'm young and could give a crap. Just maybe they will refuse to resuscitate your sorry ass when sick and then you can be removed from the national health care droll. Oh Lord, what a wonderful sound that has to it......mom and me just wait for that day.

You pickled pervert, you need to leave this board and stop pestering the gents on here. They don't want to hear your anti government rants. Our president surely knows what he is doing. My friends and me could give a shit that the Pres and congress are spending trillions....ain't coming out of my bank account. Make the rich bitches and bastards pay it for us. Tax those small businesses and make them pay their fair share and more if that's what it takes to get health care for the little people. Illegals included, all 12,000,000. Hell, your sorry ass has slept with illegals and you didn't pay them shit.

That's about all the time I have to wast on you. Be sure to crawl under your filthy bed in that junk trailer you live in when you hear a couple of black helicopters flying over you and the city dump next door. What you need is mental and oral care.....not medical care. You are one pitiful S.O.B.

Have a nice day if your can find one....Not.

One other thing pops:

Mom just informed me that you also stole and cashed her welfare check earlier this week. Shame on you....you pitiful fool. She said that you were trying to get back to Costa Rica and sell some of our family valuables....which ain't much.

Admin: Please take this fool off of the board. He is a disgrace and only disparages the Circus name and the rest of the board.

If there are any mobsters out there that monitor in.....put a contract out on this deplorable dickhead. Mom and me will pay what we can.

My apologies to the members on this board. I do not mean to cause any problems but I needed to rant about his latest mind numb posts. He is truly incapable of posting anything sane.

CTY, you lice-ridden, cold-sore infested, shithead! Food Stamps congress really meant to be for beer, and smokes! and also for pepperoni, jalepeno potato chips and condoms. Agree or disagree with your dad's rants, all of us "gents" are agreed we want to hear more of him and less of you. BTW, you look more like the clerk at the mini-mart than Circus!

For the love of God, name me one thing the government has ever done that has been a success!

Please consider some things off the top of my head that were and/or are very successful:

The victory over Japan and Germany in World War II and saving Europe from Facism.

The Marshall Plan that saved Europe and saving Europe from Communism.

The development of a nuclear weapon before Germany.

Putting people on the moon is pretty impressive.

U.S. Secret Service and the U.S. Marshall's have their sh*t together.

If someone's ass is sinking in a boat off shore the U.S. Coast Guard does a great job of saving lives.

The building of Boulder Dam. Now that is phucking impressive.

The B-2 Bomber, F-22 and F-35 jets.

Any U.S. Navy carrier.

Those are just a few off the top of my head that are important to me.

Add to this the rescue of the hostages of the Maersk Alabama by navy sharp shooters, what do all of these have in common? In the absence of the routine, political expedient interference of the congress or the executive branch, the "government" can do amazing things ... who thinks health care reform can avoid the "politically expedient = get my ass re-elected next year"?

Good point! I should have remembered that one. Those guys are really skilled. Their leaders had big brass ones.

No argument from me about the fact that political prostitution is alive and well in the U.S. Some have seen it up close and personal. It is revolting at best. Brutal! Truly a blood sport. Even sick.

The congress/senate [deliberately not capitalized] are consistently listed as the scum of scum, organizationally ineffective and inefficient. Regardless, the vast majority of the members of congress will be re-elected in November. Americans love, or at least tolerate their own member of congress; it is the member of congress in that other district that is scumbag-slime.

I have known many politicians in my life. Some I stand in awe of, incredibly smart and also endowed with wisdom. They have had the best interests of the people at heart. They could stand with Adams, Jefferson and Washington. Others are so phucking stupid I am surprised they know how to breathe. And party affiliation has nothing to do with it.

The US Government can be incredibly efficient and effective – our Military is consistently listed as the best of the best when it comes to organizational management and leadership; there are some great leaders there, and some are officers too.

Marines, Air Force, Navy, Army and Coasties -- they make us proud to be Americans.

Just go over to Pavas and see the stars and stripes flying in the wind over the Embassy. If that doesn't make you proud, then I am sad, truly sad for you. I love Costa Rica, but I am an American to the core. And that tradition goes back 235 years in my family. I have a little sign that I hang in my RV when I am in the US: Continental Army 1776 and still serving (with three US Service Flags - Blue Star; thank God, no Gold Star.)

Forgive me for my diatribe. “The old man has had too much wine.”

As impressive as Brother DiegoC's list was, it was militarily-oriented. Let's try some civilian programs: VISTA and the Job Corps, the CCC (which built/saved a lot of forestland and built stuff in use to this day), the Interstate Highway System, the Tennessee Valley Authority providing electricity to millions of rural underserved Southerners, damming/drawing power from the Columbia River system, ditto with the Hoover Dam (made cities/ allowed agriculture in desert areas), the Army Corps of Engineers levee system in New Orleans (OK, this is controversial but it did save the city for a number of years), Social Security which has saved countless elder Americans from stark poverty, the Ex-Im Bank has been the lifeblood of big exporters like Boeing and Caterpillar--the list goes on and on. My question to the naysayers is--What have the Feds failed at? Please name me one program that has been an utter failure? Please don't go with some Big Business-subverted program like farm subsidies, or Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac (they were Governmental institutions from inception until they were privatized, and did well as Govt. institutions) --give me real stuff.

Nice try..........sliding Social Security in as a success. It is bankrupt because the 'Gov't' that runs it (Congress) is corrupt. This is the perfect example of why government should be to protect us, not interfere in our lives. If I could have invested my Social Security funds I would be better off.

As to the later examples cited above, the government is to blame because they did it to us.
Farm subsidies? What a waste of my money.
And your Post Office is a joke also.

I need to say this fellow’s. I hope this writing teaches instead of preaches!
As some of your know I am a Doctor that is on the frontline of this health care debate. As that I see what this whole process does. Each day I get working folks in the office with insurance and they cannot afford their co pays. Each day I get people that have dropped their health care because they cannot afford. And they have jobs. I speak with colleagues all over the country that have similar stories. When I signed up and studied my ass off to become a Doctor it was so I can help people in their most trying time of need. When they are in pain! That is being taken away by insurance companies each day.

As a Marine I swore to defend this nation and all the people in it even if it cost me my life! As a Doctor I swore to treat the sick even if they cannot pay. And I have!!!
We need help and until somebody has a better way we need to pass this bill!!!
That is why Doctors and Nurses are for this bill. It’s not perfect but it’s a least a start to help are patients and help ourselves teat them.

NYG: I believe you are sincere.
Doesn't bill make you want to wait for a plan where, as Namcy Pelosi said, 'Find out whats in the bill'?

That was another point I wanted to state Tex until this site cut me off. There has been a lot of misinformation about this bill. Myself and two colleagues each read all 2741 pages to see what was in it.

To highlight:

There are no death panels but there are life panels so a person can discuss options with their Doctor and families and bill the Doc for their advice
Insurance companies will not be able to deny any person coverage based on a pre-existing condition. If you are over 35 years old, you have a 98.2% chance of having a pre-existing condition according to JAMA 2008 May edition

A young person will be able to stay on their parent’s health plan until 26 years old if needed
Insurance companies will not be able to raise rates without showing cause. (Anthem Blue Cross just raises rates in California by as much as 39% last month)
There will be a mandate to buy health insurance for everyone (like we have to buy Car insurance).

I used to work in an inner city ER many they’re had no insurance or were too lazy to go get on Medicaid. And we folks that have health insurance pay the price

Medicare will not be cut just improved so I will not have to file my patients Medicare claims through Cigna or other insurance companies that take a cut out of filing the claims to the government. That will stop and those savings will lower cost

This bill once signed into law will be deficit neutral (meaning it’s paid for) and will cut the deficit by at least 1 trillion bucks the first 10 years. (Keep in mind that these savings after streamlining this and other processes in this bill cannot be scored since no one can know what the savings will be by just doing common sense things!!!) And a lot of the bill is common sense like making sure an insurance company reports to subscribers why they are raising rates

There will be 2 different tax cuts for small businesses that offer insurance to employers.

There will be an exchange where people will be able to compare plans like members of Congress have

This is a tricky one the President lays out. (He states many times “If you like your Doctor you can keep your Doctor, if you like your plan you can keep your plan”) True if you pay for your own insurance but if you get your insurance from your job and your employers finds a better plan in this new exchange you and your family may have to find other Doctors if they are not in the new plans network.

I could add more but if you have any questions PM me and I will try to answer. This Bill is not perfect but a start that can be fixed in the future. Until someone comes upon with a better idea that can pass Congress I say pass it to help our people!
