I think YOU are the stupid one letting your wife Phuck other guys! Then you want to control her when you are DEAD by telling her to remain unmarried for your cash. You can't control her when you are alive but you want to control her when you are dead? The whole story is way too twisted for me. I think you are feeling guilty because you had a shitty childhood/father. So now you want to save the Ch*ldren. But really what kind of example of a marriage/home life are you showing these K*ds? Mommy can sleep with whoever she wants and so can Daddy. K*ds are smart they know what's going on. Mommy can't remarry (when you are gone) because she needs your cash. This whole situation is not normal. In YOUR mind you THINK you are the "White Knight" who's going to save the World (i.e. save your wife/Ch*ldren) but in reality you might be doing more harm than good by showing them a screwed up marriage life!

I think this is a fellow that has missed the whole point !! I also take offense to the bashing of another fellow due to some mis/non understanding of what is normal. Shame on you rwelker66 !!

First of all open marriages are commonplace all over the world, with both spouses entering into it knowingly, with honesty and no deception. Secondly, mongering to get your pe*ker wet for 10 minutes is not all life has to offer. I routinely have my friends over and enjoy being with their ch*ldren. They also benefit by seeing a man and a woman show affection for each other;(something they don't get much at home ) I could marry any of them and life would be richer. The culture in Costa Rica, and most Latin American countries is different than it is in the states. Promiscuity and random s*x is part of that culture for some people. But love and affection are universal qualities, as well as a healthy desire to care for the young in our environment. Wanting to insure that a loved one is taken care of - with no strings attached- after I'm gone is a healthy action. People with fixed and/or antiquated Victorian attitude will not 'get it', and worst of all, ignorantly bash someone that has gotten it.

Pops is like the most helpful giving caring kind human being on CRT and yet he continually gets skewered by people who have never met him and disagree with his lifestyle choice. He has found a situation that works for him and the woman, produced Ch*ldren and he appears to have a happy wonderful loving life with her he has created.

I know several guys who married ex hoes, some got burned but a couple I know are happy, albeit spending to get that happiness, surprisingly a couple I know are not wealthy, they certainly bring in more than the average Tico, but some have the wife work!

Many if not most of us would not do the same, but we respect him for his choice, by his statement, he feels he is living a loving caring life with people who give a damn about him. Many of us, myself included, will stagger to our graves alone, we'll get an epitaph on CRT "best damn wingman, good guy, great sense of humor...'' he'll be surrounded by family when he exits this earth.

There's all kinds of hotties in CR and other monger places giving great bj's, dfk's, gfe's, and as they age up, new ones are taking their places, but real love is rare and fleeting, I suspect all of us wish we had a shot at it. Deep down inside, I wish my marriage had worked out, when things were good, I was in delirious heaven. I'm betting most divorced mongers wish the same.

In any event, there's a lot to be said about mongering as an excellent substitute over staying in America and hitting on wrinkled dry Oprah trained man haters with complaints, suspicion, confrontations and baggage. It sounds like Pops has made the best of both worlds, and if he's happy and no one suffers, congratulations!!

A lot of good guys have been driven off CRT who have helped and advised a lot of us because of unwarranted accusations from members who don't fully understand their decisions, Pops, don't join that group, I look forward to all your posts...

If anyone wants to fight, pick on me. I'm an obnoxious arrogant self absorbed dawg that goes through women like a newborn thru diapers, many good women wanted a serious relationship and I ran like a cheetah... ps, this Rico guy is a hoe hunting dawg, too...

What I see in others, is what I see in myself; both the good and the bad.

Defining love of others is impossible. It is like a snowflake, no two people are going to define love exactly alike, or even close. Love comes from the heart, and cannot possibly be properly defined by another.

IMO, there is way too much head thinking going on this post (probably normal for a post this long). Moving a man the hardest 18 inches of his life, from his head to his heart. I hopefully think about what I am going to write, and then process it out of my head. It often times comes out how I actually intended it too.

I have never met Pops, but hope that my next trip in September, I have the opportunity. Heck, I would like to meet all of y'all. I'll be at the SL from 9/1-9/6.

Met Pops twice at L.A. Always great inside mongering info and he looks plenty happy to me. Listening to him beats hearing the whining from a few closet women haters that I've met in my 4 trips to the gulch. He's not cramping anyone's style with his lifestyle.

Pretty good from a thread that was started almost 12 years ago. Enjoyed the reads from the famous and infamous of CRT. As usual Pops posts are terrific IMHO.

I heard this story, a dimwit was sending his fave hoe a g note a month plus rent not to work and dream of him...He deluded himself with the word novia or whatever you call them and his toes curled every night before beddy bye as he laid down dreaming of her.. .

He decided to slip into town a couple days early, stay at the Rey and score some strange, then show up at the apartment she was staying and he was paying.

Ironies of ironies, first night at the Rey, there she was, earning.....

2nd story...years ago me and some mongers staying at this monger joint were on the receiving end of an admonishment for hoe-ing diff strange from a monger with a novia...he was proud he had himself a "novia"..,

One night he was inebriated and reviewed his novia's "rules"...He had a list of things he had to pay for, her son's school, her various bills and of course rent, and he could only see her on select days, he had to call first and no over night stays and no this and no that ...yea..."novia"...

Another fool had a novia, he bought a house and she stayed there, to support her in the lifestyle she became accustomed to, he ended up driving a truck for a supplier in Iraq during the war!

He also set her up in his will and she was heard to say she wished he would get blown away in Iraq so she could access the will's spoils...by the way...when he was dodging IED's and bullets and getting his haid cut off, her Tico b/f was spending the night many a night ...yea...novia...

Another buddy of mine married an ugly skinny hoe from the Zona Blue days, not even one of the good ones..he owned a condo here. After 90 days, she took off and moved in with her Tico b/f and attempted to gain control of his condo and bank account...yea...novia...

I saved the best for last...Another monger married a hot 21 y/o, he was in love and thought she was with him... she faked an injury to claim he beat her, called the cops and he high tailed it to the airport, she inherited the car, bank account, furniture, electronics, everything. He had to pay a pretty penny to her to annul the marriage.

The last trip he took, it was 10 years after all this fun, he gained 20 plus lbs and grew bald. He came down and stayed at SL and there was his ex, working away...she kept staring at him and he kept turning his head, sometimes leaving the bar, driving her crazy, not acknowledging her...yea...novia...

Oh wait...silly me...I absolutely FORGOT the best of the best of the best...

A country boy, no Stanford grad, who got disability young, not much, about $800 a month and his dad's small inheritance, apx. $30k was in love with his novia...

He decided to -get this- pay her $100 per day to live with him and not hoe...about 3k per month. She was from the Dominican Repub so the majority of that loot was sent to sis and momma there, taking care of all the 'babis"...

When the inheritance ran out in about a year, he told her that was that, but since they were in luuuuv she could get a little job and they could count on his $800 a month...

Yea, right, out the dowwwe went that hoe, lol...

About this story...how do I know???

I picked up that hoe and brought her back to the apartments where we were living at the time and a fellow monger saw her and told me the story, said don't let him see her, and she dunnn him wrong...

I said it's not like the loot was on the table and she grabbed it and ran while he took a piss, the fool offered it to her, hell, I might have taken him up on that offer!!!!

My joke didn't go over too well...oh well...I thought it was funny...

By the way, she's now still currently one of 2 of my absolute faves but she gets 40k colones and occasionally a lunch or dinner from me per session and she's happy with that and so am I...one of my 2 "novias", lol...
