just wanted to poke and say that every woman on the planet is the same in this regard. They all want a nice guy to take care of them (and provide for the K*ds, his or not). However, the bitching is a part of the female condition and not a 'gringa' thing. Similar to the 'get fat', which applies to guys as well as gals.

My first ex-fiance was a hot little 105# sugar plum. We dated for about a year & a half, she convinced me to 'Put a Ring on it' & then she proceeded to put on 30# in about 6 months. That ring might as well have been a perpetual, never ending Krispy Kreme do-nut! This was about 5 years ago. Less than a year after I called it off, she was engaged & married so no mystery what she was looking for!! I recently saw a foto of her on fb & didn't even recognize her at first look. BTW, her Mom weighs in at about 300# so I know where that was going!
