Things as usual in CR take a great amount of time. Much more than I ever thought it would.

Four of us met with them in July. They are wonderful people, but it didn't get very far. They only talked about the $45,000.00 that they need to remodel an old school building so they could rent it to the hospital. My kidergarten Spanish did not help I'm sure.

I will write more about it soon. Anyone that is in CR and fluent in Spanish, and can go by the orphanage for a short time, please PM me. Also, if you have donated money, PM me as I have some thoughts about the funds.

I apologize for the delay in this, but I am still very cautious with all of our money.

I'll keep sending in my monthly promise as I said I would. So what if it takes time the more time it takes the bigger the project we can do. I have complete trust in you guy's and have great respect for you all to take this on from the states.

Since I am not quite sure what the above quote means, at least here is my response.

First of all thanks for your patience. I'm not sure that I would have had as much. Also, had I known how hard it was going to be to get anything done in CR from home, this wouldn't have even started. I am very embarassed by the lack of results so far.

All of the money donated is still in the account. Any man/woman who has donated and would like their money returned, PM me with the name on the account, the amount that was donated, and your address. I will send you a check from my personal account, after reviewing the list of donors.

For those who have donated if you PM me I would like to run something by you to get a feeling about everyone's thoughts about one way to get something done. I have not done anything with that avenue yet because I am very cautious with our money, and want 100% of it to be used for the K*ds.

Me and Karla stopped by and dropped off school supplies. And were told we could return in the am and meet the K*ds to if we wanted. Lady was nice to us. But told us that there are no more sisters working there. Karla got a receipt that she can use at school for community service. I am happy. And trust you guys to do whatever you decide.

There is an orphanage on the road to my place. There are so many abandoned K*ds in this country.

I often bring things like tooth bushes (Delta Dental’s give away promotions), toothpaste, soap, used clothes and toys. If I had to pack something which was somewhat fragile, I used rolls of toilet paper as cushion which I also gave to the orphanage. T-P is a luxury to some.

All the items have been greatly appreciated. Stuff that you or your Ch*ld may not want anymore is welcomed. Not junk, but good stuff you don’t use anymore.

I will be there the 30th thru the 5th and plan to meet with the director during that time. We are waiting to hear back from them with a list of things that need to be done in order to get part of the building up to code so that it can be leased to the hospital.
