The whole topic of M men verses Mongers is a little bizzar to me. In fact, a great deal of mongers are M men in their other lives, as past polls have demonsrated.. I hope we are not going to get into moralizing around THAT point..That would be just a bit silly, no? It is important for men to enjoy the mongomy of their relationships when and while they can; so few of us really every stay monogomous throughout our lifetime.

I think the purpose of this board to to help each other increase our enjoyment of this little hobbie of ours; I know when I forget that, and take it all too seriously, I start acting like an A$$HOLE (and god knows I have witnessed this too often in other as well)...Very little of what we say is really very importnat anyhow in the grand scheme of things...We wil be mongers or M men, or both..we will post a lot or post a little..and one day, poof, we are dead...Enlightenment means to lighten up, right????

Admin, you do a great job..Thanks..and thanks to everyone one the board who has talk me a ton..and even thanks to the people how post rediculous Sh*t without any real knowlege of what you are posting...its all good...

Well my 2 cents worth ...

1) As the guy who coined M-men - the original definition was a monger who had decided he would like to spend all (or basically a strong majority) of his time with 1 gal ... that was it. I love how the pitchforks and burning bushes have come out . the diffeentiation for those who recall was that after a very few # of trips I had felt empty and found I did not want to just get off. I wanted more. I knew it was a fantasy but MY fantasy was to spend a lot of time with one gal. Never made a judgement on what was better or worse. this is a mongering board. If you monger with 1 or 100 or the number VB mongers with ( ) well you are all just different. Now Im married ... I'm not an M-man .... Who knows what I am

2) At another time in the past I had suggested and understand it was a bad idea, but had suggested that some folks who really had a great time in a different era on this board would like a separate section. I morphed my request and simply thought it would be cool if you could have a MY LIST where you can see the new posts of your fav folks. That was twisted into I was an elitist who wanted a clique. Not really. I just wanted to see if Circus, VB, Dino, Lurker, LH, Paco, Showerhead etc etc had said anything as I know them and like their style. No harm no foul.

3) I really dont know how (with respect to admin) this thread became a smash on m-men. This was about the rating system.

To all ... all "evils" arent m-men ... they are a subset that some of us drift into and out of. Others are orgy guys, others LAL, others GFFE and yet others biker chick guys (Paco, Dman).

enjoy what is here for what it is .. and please dont tar and feather the definition of an m-man ....

Not to go off topic But devo commented on the Site not accepting cookies.. It does, but some browsers or ones that have an old cache of the site might make you logon twice or not stay logged on...

Since ID explained to me, last night at dinner,how to make a quote appear I thought I would try it. Gentleman,this was my original post that started all this discussion. It had NOTHING to do with MMen.Handy is correct when he says that he invented the expression so he must know what it means. It's a totally different topic. As an example of what I was trying to say,I would like to use Zippy as an example. Under his former handle (name withheld for lack of permission)he posted a shitload of meaningless stuff IMHO. He now (under his present handle) posts much less and certainly has a lot of interesting things to say. We should all follow his lead. The most important point I was trying to get accross was "I think we should all try harder to post when we have something to say." Since the current vote is 26-17 infavor of leaving the system alone,isuggest that we accept that vote as final.

While I am aware that the rating system was set up by Admin1 with the purpose of adding a bit of levity and having some fun; the one thing I thought could be quite misleading is awarding someone a Del Rey PHD based on the number of postings when this person may have never set foot in the HDR/BM, perhaps he's never even been to CR yet!

If and when I am fortunate enough to reach the PHD level, I'll be gracefully declining the degree because I only been to the HDR/BM three times. Hardly enough to deserve even a Certificate of Appreciation.

Right now, the only reason why chicas would ask me for advice is probably because I speak Spanish and I am a gregarious person.
