Yeah Zig listen to your Uncle Novice you won't have any fun or be able to eat pu*sy with a sore jaw. :P Besides I hear MDE is muy peligroso and gringos like you should stay away, wink:wink. Wish airfares weren't so damn high, I'd brave the danger and see for myself.

I just had a root canal C$50,000 which I thought was excellent. I had little pain and after the first couple of hours it was fine. I return in June for the completion of the bridge. The whole job will be less then three bill’s. Hell, the dentistry just about pays for the trip, but I’m starting to run out of teeth…

Iggy… :P

That is exactly why I asked the question amigo. I have received many PM's from guys inquiring if Dr. Chen does root canals and always have had to answer I do not know all I have ever had him do was routine general dentistry.

Thanks for the heads up. :D

Not sure about veneers, email him and see. I know he does general, whitening, root canals and crowns. A very skilled dentist indeed. I am having work done in August, just a partial crown. I'll see if I can get him to give me a list of his services and post what I can find out.

Don't email him, call him. I've emailed him twice in the past 2 months with no response each time.

I had a 7 year old crown detach(damn strawberry twizzler) yesterday and made a quick call to Dr. Chen for availability and cost.

His assistant had him on the phone within 1 minute, he remembered me from the Feb trip (bag of sweets from the bakery around the corner) and quoted me $150.00 to replace.

For those unaware of Dr. Chen, he was trained at Baylor Dental School in Dallas, he is quite professional and works with those that can ill afford regular work in the SJ area. You may wait a bit longer in the office, particularily if there is an emergency that walks in the door, but his pricing and quailty is unsurpassed. As ID said, " Always a good idea to take a book"
