$4K???

Hell, I'll help anybody for $1000. I've done it myself and helped 4 or 5 others.

Lawyers can't do SHIT for you and they damn sure can't guarantee anything.
All they can do is look over the packet and make sure everything is filled out. YOU still have to provide all the info.

I've seen websites charge $20 for a form and the "instructions". THE INSTRUCTIONS COME WITH THE FORMs RIGHT OFF THE USCIS WEBSITE!
http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/index.htm

Don't be fooled.

As to Tman's "litmus test", have you tried to get a U.S. tourist visa for a Colombiana lately?

Paco, you apply for the K3 & K4 before you get married

I beg to differ on this one. You apply for the K3 after you get married. Because as part of the immigration package, you must present the marriage certificate translated in English. The K1, obviously is for a Fiance. Therefore, marriage comes after the issue of the visa.

Listen to Wit, he gave me the info in the past. He knows of what he speaks. But, hey, I'll help anyone for $900. :-) But, being the nice guy I am, I'll assist you in committing suicide. Step by step instructions are located at www.visajourney.com.

Hey Wit,
My Colombiana and I just got back from first USA trip together after 4 years together. And I stood by my Litmus test...she went to Colombia herself, applied for and received a 5 year Visa on her own steam. Of course it helped that she is college educated, used to work for an international airline with lots of travel history, and has her own money and accounts in Colombia. THose are SOME of the reasons we have been together so long  ...

Oh...and my family and friends ADORED her. Even Mom  ... So guys, there are great Latinas who can adore you and yet do things on their own. They arent ALL just looking to waylay you... Guess I'm just a lucky guy.

Tman,
Yes, you ARE a lucky guy. I knew that the first time I met you're lady.

Congrats on the visa. Did she enjoy her trip to the land of the big BX?
Did she see Chi-town?

Back to the litmus test. There are a lot of great ladies in Colombia and Costa Rica that don't have all the requirements to get their own visa, (very few do), but that shouldn't discourage someone from looking for a wife. They just have to make sure they are getting someone who really loves them and is not just looking for a green card.

Looking in the gulch would not be a recommended area either.

I was lucky, too, but of course there are no guarantees.

Wit
