Agreed...as as everyone who's ran any kind of business knows, it essentially comes down to skillfully managing people, all kinds of people, from suppliers to employees to customers to government inspectors...all of them, in addition to operating a smart and viable business model.

If this were 3 years ago, I’d probably be all over this. It really is a great deal. But alas; I’m just a fan now and I don’t have the time to commit to an endeavor like this. However I was thinking: If I’m just a fan, how many othersout there are also just fans? In whichcase, what would be wrong with taking a committee approach? We’d have nothing to lose (it’s quitepossible we are already paying 2k plus a year on Costa Rica hotel stays).

What I mean by “committee” is, what if 5 or 10 of us went in on this together? Partners. In that case, it’d be peanuts. And we’re coming to Costa Rica all the time anyway, so at least now we’d have a place to basically call our own when we come (no pun intended).

Lots of little things to consider, like appointing a committee leader (and then making sure he doesn’t Phuck us)…..but for the most part, I do believe with the right people it could work.

I admire your idealism and goodwill...but that would never work!

The business needs to be operated by a dictator with absolute unquestionable power (read: owner), not a committee of absentees
