Hey I'm not going to disagree with a Vegas Local :-) I thought I read Steve Wynn wanted Strip Clubs onsite at the Casinos, and Mayor Goodman thought legal prostitution was just a small step away from that.

Steve Wynn does want strip clubs but not hookers. Wynn can be quoted as saying
Quote:
Legal prostitution is a stigma on Nevada's business climate
. An amazing statement from someone who runs casinos (he made this quote in the late 80s).
Goodman did say he wanted a redlight district downtown but after the backlash from that statement he said he was only joking. It will be a sad day when the existing brothels are closed but I think it's inevitable, within the next 5-10 years.

GetRythm and Lee I get the same questions from Ticas and Rio girls..."Why so many you gringos no married and no Ch*ldren?" I usually tell them "Gringas are gorda(fat) and loco"

I also had Rio girls ask why gringos are so crazy about sex and want it so much. They have no concept of a US male being hard up for sex since in their country it is so easy and natural.

Makes me think twice about our so-called High standard of living. A new SUV every year but always horned up lol.

GetRhythm, yes the girls do often ask that question...."why you not married"? I've never been married but I have no problem giving them 100 reasons why not to marry a gringa. I think one of my favorites is the fact that gringas try so very hard to be like men.....you know the ones you see in the supermarket wearing baseball caps and ugly sweatpants, sweatshirts, no makeup, and sneakers. Or the ones you see on T.V. always bashing men or on in sporting events boxing, etc.. This kind of behavior is unheard of from Ticas. They just love being woman whereas gringas just love competing with men.

Excellent Marcos, that's the best statement I have ever read in this forum. It's so true!

Keep it up!

However, while it’s all well and good to have rules concerning the nature of discourse on a web forum, it’s going over the line to suggest someone else should follow a set of “rules” concerning their own personal behavior. You live your life and I’ll live mine, thank you.

And since society (at least here in the U.S.) has evolved in a way that our basic needs are not well accommodated, we should not in any way feel ashamed about going to a foreign country and engaging in sex-for-pay to see they are met. It’s all consensual, and as long as you treat the girls with courtesy and respect, where is the harm done? So, if I’ve now somehow diminished myself in the eyes of the gringa I discussed this with, that’s her problem to deal with, not mine.

On the contrary,
"rules" concerning our behavior is one great thing and purpose of this board, i.e.: some gringos have no clue about behaving like a gentleman in CR and make us all look bad. You have guys here with decades of experience freely offering their experience and advice, if you choose to let it go in one ear and out the other that's your choice, buena suerta.
Lee's "rules" were obviously common sense suggestions and IMO great ones to follow, your friends may not always be your friends and this type of info is the very first thing they will use to slander you.

And sure we don't feel ashamed about our escapades, especially if we follow the "rules" of a gentleman there is nothing to be ashamed of. But to expect the rest of the world, especially gringas to share in your carefree atittude about the hobby is absurd and out of touch with reality to say the least.

Look, I appreciate all the advice and information on this board - I really do. It was invaluable in helping to make my trip a success. But sometimes the tone becomes just a little patronizing.

I certainly don't expect the rest of the world to share my attitude. But I won't back down from defending it either if challenged.

When all is said and done, yes, I will be following the advice given and be very cimcumspect about who I tell about CR in the future.

Over on another board ( related to the same subject as this one) I read a piece about one of our fellow travelers whose wife hired a private investigator who followed him to South America and stayed in the same hotel. Not that any of you would have a wife you'd be cheating on but for one who may - beware of who may be at that five o'clock happy hour.

here is my dos colones worth..

I truly love the exotic experience of the Latin culture. The hot lovely passionate sexually alluring ladies that are soooo motivated to please especially when there is so much of a GFE and (Hablo Espanlol aqui) Spanish spoken here is in play along with those tight p*ssies and "ay chico! da me tu leche! Que Rico! Tu eres todo mi amor!

Marriage is consumated each and every session with the wonderful chicas I have met in Costa Rica whether they are from the Dominican Rep, Columbia, Panama, or Nicaragua. The same goes for the hotties I have met in _________________ (fill in the blank country while traveling).

The women from the "tropics" are outstanding! That is why I moved to Miami. Access, access, access to all of the above plus calle ocho.

Unfortunately, once on shore v. offshore attitudes seem to change along with the game...but there is always mojados!!!

No, that means that the offering price would be 100 times its current rate and that the women could drive a Mercedes, wear a mink and live in a 30,000 square foot house for the same slice of fur pie.

And just a piece of advice; but never tell a gringa what you do on patrol, it will never lead to anything good.

Although I think it is always great to be able to share stories or travel encounters among friends, for me , anything related to my perosnal pooning experience is off topic .

I have made the mistake of hobbying with a couple close friends in the past. Sure yeah it was fun, but in the end words would spread and secret weren't kept . Since then I have been a lone pooner, sharing experience only on a few sites. And I totally agree with what Lee said about it's a big world out there, and what you think it's ok may not appear to be acceptable to some others.

My No. 1 rule has always been : Never tell anyone about your hobby.

This is an excellent board BTW. Lots of useful info and interesting discussion.

A belated greetings to all . Cheers :)

I'm sorry to say that I was so amazed with the SJ scene, that I opened my big mouth about it at the office to a guy (well he seemed to be one at the time). I mistakenly thought he'd like to be my wingman for my next SJ trip. He couldn't wait to tell everyone else. Not good. I learned a lesson I should have already known. If you haven't already made a simliar mistake, DON'T DO IT.

I've lived in several very diverse economic environments (very poor to very well off) in my life and prostitution (legal in none of them) was readily available at all levels. Whether your experience is the poor crack skank or the college-educated, well-heeled, very high-maintenance Wall Street escort, the truth remains that P4P is like the cockroach; it has and will continue to survive no matter what.

I agree with all who have stated "Mum's the word." I made the mistake of telling a few people in my office of my past times in CR. Since starting at this particular firm I have vehemently denied ever returning to CR to play. Just not well received in my circle. Well, my last trip everyone knew I was "going out of town to hang with my buddy from Atlanta." Ok, seems innocent enough.

Now, I'm ready to leave CR, Monday 24th of October to fly home. Just a little problem..uhh... MIA is closed due to Hurricane Wilma. No problem, I'll call in and tell them I'm having transportation issues. What's one more day? Problem solved..uh..nope. MIA is closed on Tuesday as well. Ok, now the suspicion. "Where are you?" "What type of transportation problems?" "People have been calling in looking for you, what do we tell them?" "We've called your cellphone and it says you are not accepting messages." Mind you everyone thinks I'm in Atlanta. Should have no trouble getting home, should have no problem with the cell. I had to make up a truly elaborate story about my whereabouts. Do I think anyone bought it? Not sure. Don't ask, don't tell. Ask me no questions, I tell you no lies. Do people think (correctly) that I was in CR, yes!! Had I never told anyone from the beginning, that suspicion would have never raised its ugly head. You just never know what might come up. So, I would keep my adventures to myself.

After so many trips to Costa Rica, people started asking "what's the attraction to Costa Rica?" The excuse that I go there for the year-round, springlike climate of San Jose was starting to wear thin. I knew that everyone suspected the real reason anyway, so I started to flat out tell everyone "it's a single man's paradise." My sister became very persistent, and kept asking "what does that mean?" I told her " I have absolutely no interest in any American women that are my age or close to it, and in Costa Rica I can enjoy the pleasures of all the beautiful, young women I desire, something that is virtually impossible in the U.S." She doesn't ask any more questions, and it works for me since I've been divorced for 23 years, I'm 51 years old and retired, and my son knows why I go to Costa Rica.
