Allow me to interject here, since I was under the impression this question was already settled.

"Estoy Ardiente" is more like "I'm Burning". It works if you want to tell a girl "Estoy ardiente, ven a apagar mi fuego" = "I'm burning, come to put off my fire".

How would you say that in the reverse?--"You look hot! Tell me how to quell your fire."

The word "ganas" is also used heavily by Colombianas. The first few times I heard/read it, I was confused out of my mind. But, I have learned to accept it as normal in Colombian colloquialism.

In CR the most common expression for "to be horny" is "estar templado(a)."

My 2 cents:

Tengo ganas = I'm horny
Estoy exitado = I'm excited sexually
Estoy ardiente = I'm burning with desire

The question was, How do you say, "I'm horny". Tengo ganas is closest, but it is used for a variety of things not sexual too, like, "Tengo ganas a comer." (I'm hot to get something to eat.) Tengo ganas might be used quite politely too.

I can't think of a perfect match for the singularly sexual phrase, "I'm horny."

A word used a lot here in Panama is arrecho/a.

It's slang and a little vulgar but the most direct translation to horny I can think of. It can mean a few other things (like most words) but it leaves little room for confusion.

Don Papi spends a lot of time in San Jose talking to chicas who are horny so I think he knows what he's talking about!
