I agree with most the names in that list, but really? Prolijo's long, drawn out rants arguing the semantics instead of his point are interesting to you?

Reading Pro's prose allows one to delve into the depths of the topic. I just wish he would start with an "Executive Summary" so that we could catch the salient points without having to read the entire volume. Kinda like reading James Michner's Alaska : I wanted to get to the human settlement part but hated wading through the "..as the earth cooled..." part.

Hard to fault his attention to detail and willingness to do the work. Thanks, Pro.

Fuzebox,
I see your skipping your Ritalin again. I don't know why you have such a bug up your ass about me, but you should really just let it go. You're just making yourself seem vindictive and petty.

I realize the way I post is not for everybody. Others do not like some aspects of it, but feel the other aspects more than make up for it. And there are also many who are extremely appreciative of what I write, which I KNOW from the MANY PM's I've received from a variety of people in the past. How many of those have YOU received? If you, or anyone else for that matter, don't like my posts then simply don't read them. That won't bother me in the least. If you don't agree with others that I contribute a lot to this board, then you have your right to that opinion and again I'm fine with that. But NONE of that can ever take away from the fact that MANY members greatly appreciate the unique asoects that I contribute here.

Personally, I think your posts, especially your recent attack posts against me are equally uninteresting and the real complete and utter wastes of time, no matter how short and "to the point". But you don't see me attacking you except when you initiate it. IMHO, with these attacks you're just acting like a worthless little troll.

Prolijo you are getting way to full of yourself. Unfortunately you attach way to much of your self importance to your post or your so called status on CRT. That is why you go on and on like the Eveready Bunny.

Most members of CRT do not post alot. The first thing that usually happens when I meet a CRT member is that that they tell you there CRT name and then say "I don't post much". Just because people do not comment on your endless rants doesn't mean that they like it. You completely over analyze many of the topics discussed on this board. Some of the info your provide is good however, the majority of it is worthless dribble that can be said in about 1/3 the space or words you use.

As far as not reading your post go, I usually try to avoid your rants but sometimes they come in the middle of thread so they are unavoidable if you want to keep the thread in context. Please keep in mind you know everything about dam near everything. Therefore you are hard to avoid no matter what section of the board a persons on.

Finally keep in mind that most of us are recreational CR visitors we have to work and things of that nature. Therefore we can't post all day every day even if we wanted to. I happen to enjoy and appreciate the contributions of many of the members of the board. There is alot of useful information on this board that can make a persons trip to CR much more enjoyable. I would like to give a "SHOUT OUT" to those that post occasionally but usefully.

I'm surprised at your comment about the poster circus. I always thought he was a real rougue with satirical writings of his many experiences of life in CR. I really enjoyed his respect for the military and his knowledge of CR history. Yes, he certainly was crazy in his various ramblings on his trips but entertaining as well. I laughed my ass off at his tirades.

Sounds as if your gripe is perhaps a political thing.

Perhaps someone could tell me how long was he an active member and just what happened to him. Hell, he must have been a rather elderly man. It does look like he posted often through latter 2008.

There are a number of good contributers that are no longer here. Miss them.

What the? I didnt mention Circus. I was giving myself the seal of approval since no one else had

In re: Brother Prolijo--Oh, another country heard from> Brothers, not to start a flame war here, but I defy Brother Loco Mike or any one else to identify a "rant" endless or otherwise that Brother Prolijo has made. I agree with Brother Pac55 that an Executive Summary would occasionally be helpful, a summing up, if you will, but that small flaw (if it is a flaw) is way, way outweighed by the wealth of information and informed opinion (heavy emphasis on "informed, a rare quality indeed) on every Topic Brother Prolijo has commented upon. Just his complete coverage of daytrips pays his price of admission to say anything he wants on anything he wants at any length he wants. If what he says annoys you--are you familiar with the scroll bar? It works wonderfully well.

Guilty as charged. Hell, I paid for a membership just to avoid being banned

Honestly I've posted tens of thousands of posts on several boards for at least ten years now, and I have never came across a poster who annoyed me as much as you... I'm still trying to figure out what it is. No hard feelings though, I'll try to stay out of your way.

Brother Prolijo and I certainly have had our disagreements over the years and I have to admit that, at times, I find his posts rather long. A lot of that however is my doing not his. I tend to, in written and spoken word, be somewhat abrupt and assume that the reader or listener is going to be able to fill in the blanks.

I started skimming Pro's posts because I did not want to miss the many valid points he made in them. The more of his posts I skimmed the more likely it became that I would read the entire post.

I would suggest that those of you who find his posts overly long and analytical to either pass them up or start skimming them so as to not miss the many very valuable and insightful points he makes.

Whatever your feelings about the posts there is absolutely no need to criticize his or any other posters style.

Uh...last I checked, nobody is forcing you to read anything. Just skip over what you don't like. It's like the knob on the TV. Turn it off...

And just because they don't comment on what you and Fuzebox call my "endless rants" DOESN'T mean they DON'T like it either. I've already said that I'm well aware that there are those who don't care for my posts (whether they post about it like you and Fuzebox or whether they're part of the silent masses). But it is equally true that there are MANY who really appreciate what I post (including those like Jazz and ID whose posted support I appreciate as well as many others who rarely if ever post). In fact, I just got another PM of support from a certain member with less than 100 posts who I shall leave nameless but who I believe most of you know. And I meet 1 or more new guys on practically every trip who often say they don't post much (or at all) but tell me they enjoy reading my posts.

Like JB said, if someone finds another poster's style so annoying then it is simple enough for anyone to use the scrollbar. That is what I've learned to do with Florida, who I have nothing against personally but whose style AND content I find little value in. Still there are many guys here who will engage Florida in on-line banter and you'll never see me questioning their judgment as you and Fuze have done with me and my readers. ID is another whose posting style I haven't been the biggest fan of, and like he's said we've had more than our share of disagreements, but, like him with me, I can still appreciate what he adds to the board and I think we both share a warm mutual respect. Like he said "Whatever your feelings about the posts there is absolutely no need to criticize his or any other posters style.", at least not in terms like you and Fuzebox have used here.

I personally find Pros posts thoughtful, well researched and intelligent even when I do not agree with him. As with all posts you do not have to read any of them.

Posting that you find "little value" in someone's posting style sounds like criticism to me.

For the record I think both ID's and Prolijo's posts add a lot to the board, and I think Florida can be very funny.

Hate to see you guys dishing each other. There are better things to do.

I think that Prolijo has been an intregal part of this forum. Certainly an intelligent man with insights that add to the discussion. Whether his posts are long or not should not expose him to ridicule. He says what he says in expressing his opinion. His track record of aiding discussings is honorable.

There are some on here that have no valuable contributions in certain topics...i.e. longest post.

BTW, no one answered my post as to how long circus was a member of this forum and who has met that mysterious man. I would appreciate any informative info about that nut....respectfully.

Mule
