Seems as if we have gone off subject here...My bud Circus was the first to suggest and implement the T-shirt to signify board membership. It was on the old CRS board and he had one made up for me also.I still have mine and consider it a collectors item.I personally look for mongers at the News Cafe,DR,Key Largo, and the Colonial Casino.I have developed close friends thru the years in CR;Circus(of course),Don Gordo,Vegas Bob,Dino, and hopefully T man.It is a great experience to meet and know these guys as well as virtually all the others...It will enrich your mongering experience greatly. We try to help and guide new guys and the reward is in the brotherhood...CRD

Somehow I missed the last few posts on this thread but, at least in the case of Nemo, did not miss much. Getting back on topic. I have only one more thing to add. Don't be shy. If you see a bunch of guys hanging out together at the BM or at the News Cafe, just ask them if they are with CRT. If they say yes, you are all set.

But, just as importantly, if they look at you with a blank non-comprending look and say "Never heard of CRT?", ask them "WHY THE HELL NOT?" and tell them about us and encourage them to join.

I hope you can forgive me, but I did not meet any CRT guys on this last trip "specifically." I say "specifically," because I'm pretty sure I did meet some of you, or at least talked to you at one time or another, but never introduced myself as CRT, nor did I ask about CRT... not because I didn't want to.

a few reasons: first, I was in a group of guys that made it hard sometimes to mingle. also, there were a few of us in that crew, me included, that were there strictly for SURFING. I didn't want others in the crew to know I was posting on a gentlemen's board and suffer any ill feelings due to remote possibilities of exposure...furthermore, I still worry a little about cover issues myself since I'm from a small place, and a small department, and I'm the only one a lot people here know to have ever gone to CR...paranoia, maybe. but the more people that know who I am, the more likely I am to be outed. If I travel by myself next time, maybe I'll step forward. sorry guys.

Thanks for the suggestion, (The original topic of this thread). I will be making my first trip to CR this Thurday, so I will make a point to try to hook up with any CRT members at the BM at 5pm. I will be with a couple of friends and it would be great to meet some CRT mongers.

I think buying some drinks in exchange for expert insight is a fair deal.

to associate with guys who have similar interests, and are the friendliest bunch of dudes from a board ive ever seen would be a blast!.

I for one am looking forward to my visit down to bow down to the proverbial Gods of Gash...the stories would be worth the plane fare..

Hey guys:

What a slugfest... I joined as a VIP after reading FREE informative posts on this site for 3 weeks. I was impressed by the orderly, professional, and basically altruistic atmosphere on this site. After gaining so much valuable knowledge from this site about a multitude of diverse activities and places all over CR, not to mention the chance to go there and become part of a "brotherhood" of CR and Tica lovers, the VIP contribution was the least I could do. That's me.. TO each his own.

It certainly cost money and alot of time ($ again, right?) to set up such a well organized, NON-COMMERCIAL site such as this. I really appreciate the admins and those of you that are responsible for making this the best site on CR period. Look forward to meeting some of ya nov 8 - 19. I've heard it said "the look on a newbies face when they enter the BM is priceless", well, I'll be that newbie the evening of nov 8.. Let's see here .. eenie, meenie, miney, moe....

Sorry but no you can' t purchase a VIP card at Zone Blue. They are gracious enough to give out the cards that we drop off down there but do not want to push the envelope to that extent.

If you want to maintain your "privacy".. shoot me a PM and I'll be more than happy to take care of if for you...

Hey Willie,

Have a great first trip-just meet up with the CRT gang at happy hour, BM daily 5pm and you will get all the help you will need.

Trust me it will all be better than you can possibly imagine.
