$2,408.41 Thanks for asking.

The last donation was for $100.00 made May 9th by a very well known CRT member for $100.00. I think that you may know him well. :D

Things are being worked on behind the scene. Hopefully I can post it soon. One of the hotel owners has stepped up in a big way. As soon as I have his authorization, I will give more details.

We were given a list of materials and labor for some work of just over $3,000.00. We are trying to figure out just what this money would be spent for. We are also attempting to get at least one other quote. It's hard enough getting something done in CR when one is there. Our brother El S, amongst others is doing some wonderful work behind the scene. Once we reach the $ 3,000.00 figure, we will vote on whether to proceed with the initial quote for the work. It is important to me that this money be spent wisely.

One of our CRT brothers was kind enough to buy a DVD projector (similar to what the SL uses in the courtyard). Something that I think would be nice is if some of us can take down a Disney, or something similar, DVD in Spanish.

Also when we made our Christmas donation, we were able to supply the school with supplies such as paper, pencils, etc. I'm sure by now, they must need more paper, etc. If you check with Jose, the SL driver, he can tell you where the CR "Big Lots" (cheapest) place to buy them is located.

It is important to me that the money that was so generously donated be spent right, and we are not getting "gringoized" in the process.

I'm sorry about the lack of posting about this. I have been way too much in my head about this. Your post has made me realize that I need to move back into my heart. thanks.

Hey, Brothers please give me an update on this orphanage. How many Ch*ldren of what ages? How many beds available. I've got a little problem myself now that possibly would greatly help this project. I have several Hectars with large home, 4 baths, was being set up for bed/breakfast type operation had beds for 15, has 6 bunk beds and a Double currently. I currently as an out of country owner pay $100 per month to nieghbor on a maintence contract, and this still doesn't protect me 100% from Employee benifits, squatting and theft. This place is north of Guapolis, Carriari. Would like to put finca in trust for my 4 year old Gringo/Tico son and would lease for $10 a year with 4, 5 year options to Orphanage. This would be a good place for the older residents and those needing to get away from SJ for a variety of reasons. This soil is some of the best in CR when I researched the CR Gov. agriculture maps. Many possibities on cash crops to support finca and SJ orphanage long term. I am sincere on this offer and planning trip to CR soon to take care of some bussiness. (Could use the company of a Nice Tica that spoke Good English to go with me to the finca, as my spanish is poor, I have not lived in CR for 6 years.)  Sorry I don't post much and enterred orginally as new subject!!!!

To all:

We are currently at $2,792.72.

The last donation was made for $100.00 on 6/5/08. $2,342.72 in the PayPal account, and $450.00 in my personal account, of which a member sent me $250.00 and I have pledged $200.00 (as a start).

Several business owners have pledged support also.

I will be in CR 7/3 to 7/10 and will be able to report about our goals, and their wishes, after that time.

There are many possibilities for our support. Anyone interested in having a painting party some time between 7/3 and 7/9? It would give us great bang for the buck. If there is any interest, I will set it up.

Something else that has been mentioned is a computer lab. Also from last year they wanted school supplies, paper, pencils, pens, etc. that we were able to give. It is a possibility that they need more now.

We will of course honor the wishes of the leaders, and their desires. Should you have any ideas, please post them, or PM me. I am being very cautious with the generous funds that have been donated. My wish is that our money not fall into the Gringo ripoff category, and the K*ds get substantial benefit from your generous donations.

As always, the four other members will have a say in how the funds are disbursed.

Thank you much for asking and caring.

Health & happiness to all...

Steve - Santas Bro

Zinstar, Thank you very much for the web page, Can't read spanish but the pictures speak a thousand words.

Santas, That land sounds like a great thing. You of course would have to do what they want. Agroculture is big bussiness in CR.

This is a good thing. Period, Why, is for each member to ask himself. And who gives a Phuck what that answer is for him. It is a good thing.

Damm I am going to cry. You all bunch of ole bitches.

Santas Bro,

Any feedback yet on a possible paint party?

Since Paco is now sending $$$ to my favorita (pic 4678) I will have some free time during the day

There is a nice group gathering that week, surely we can muster up some troops and knock out a few off the common areas.

I believe Paca Laca did a walk-thru may be he can give us an idea of how much prep ( patch and repairs ) time would be involved as well. Just don't let him pick the colors  he is a sucker for a soft fusia.

As always, cookies afterwards and we can put Ciao,Big Daddy and Phx Rising in charge of the Foo-Foo drinks for the helpers.

Big Daddy is resting up that week and won't be down. I tried to twist his arm but he's committed to mastering the lastest Foo-Foo drink idea that he recently thought up. :D

I support your initiative from my heart too.

How about as the next initiative, we sponsor a trip to the water park in Caliari with mini-four wheeler and go-cart track for a party with food and music. The parque diversion is another "road trip" opportunity.

Ongoing, perhaps a Dreams and Visions like initiatives and an entrepreneur camp. In the meantime, a computer class room / internet cafe. They will need cable TV HD DVD's ASAP. Classes in the English language along with Restaurant, Casinon, & Hotel management which requires necessary computer skills. We should solicite Microsoft and IBM.

Say a prayer for all and smile a warm smile for you as you are deserving.

Maybe offer an "in memorium" fund for specific family and super special members could lead to funding...

Thank you for all that you have done. As a new guy, I am proud of you whacky group of guys :P  :D  8)
