Yes, "historic" in that we are the last industrialized nation to offer affordable health care to its citizens. It's a deeply flawed piece of legislation (too many compromises, too many "Special Exceptions") but we've had 60 years (5 generations) to come up with something ...and failed. As far as Constitutionality of several parts--they will be argued in front of the most conservative Supreme Court in 70+ years and you're worried? I don't want to hear any more from the naysayers and FUDmeisters--they bore me; instead let's join together to make this work.

I had a point-by-point rejoinder to Brother PacoLoco's bullet items but that seems pointless now. One thing though--That $1Trillion projected cost? Look at this Website: http://www.costofwar.com How much longer til these costs us that? And remember this health care legislation is going to SAVE American lives and fortunes, not expend them. I'm not going to go into how much of that bail-out money went into the pockets of gazillionaires or disappeared overseas--it's sick-making.

I heard on the news this morning that part of our billions going to Iraq pay for free health care for the whole country!

PocoLoco, the so-called statement from a doctor appears to be a chain, hoax, e-mail. Who is the doctor? A lot of what is stated appears to be bogus, or at least strongly far-fetched.

Was that Thomas Jefferson mentioned above the same man the Texas Board of Education severely downplays because he came up with the phrase "separation of church and state"? Just checking...

Lets see 1934 to 2010. Seems to me we have fared very well, in general, over the last 76 years no matter which party held the Presidency, the Senate, the House, the Supreme Court. Sure there have been ups and downs, good times, bad times, bull markets, bear markets, low interest rates, high interest rates, and dozens of other things I could mention. But after all is said and done the United States of America has overcome it all and stands alone as the greatest country the world has ever known.

Well 16 pages and I'm still waiting for someone to actually mention how this has anything to do with Costa Rica. Though I have enjoyed the banter and there is some intelligent conversation here, its obvious that this has turned into a political witch hunt and from the level of PM's I received this past week its clear that we can no longer allow this conversation to go on. I thought on some level since this was a very interesting and worth wild topic and the original intent was to speak to Rush Limbaugh and his move or plan to move to Costa Rica that we may have some non political views on the subject. That however has not been the case as all that is happened is that what is a non political forum has had one thread transform the landscape.

So with that said we will now say goodbye to RUSH LIMBAUGH And this thread... It is being locked and does not need any further additions or sister / brother threads to take its place.
