You are so correct. This country makes hero's out of someone that can throw a ball, catch a pass, hit a baseball, hit a golf ball, dribble a ball. To the point of us getting hourly updates on a former basketball player that spent three days in a brothel high on many different drugs and overdosed. He spent $75,000 dollars in three days.

Yet we have thousands of troops killed or severely injured making $30,000 dollars a year hardly get any media at all.

You are absolutely correct September 4th was the day they made the "BIG" story arrest. They must be having real problems putting their case together and will need to ask for another year and a half preventative detention of this crazed and dangerous felon.

Well, they were supposed to hold him until March 4th…Does anyone know the latest? Was there a trial? 6 months now is beyond excessive. His mental state must be beyond the limits…this case sucks.

No update on his website since February 27. It is beyond ridiculous to hold somebody indefinitely like this without charges or a trial. Is he a threat to society in CR?

CD's continued detention without even being charged or indicted is overkill at this point. It may be useful if a bunch of people started writing his congressman and requested that he intervene on a minor level. I would guess that if the CR authorities started getting some phone calls and inquiries about CD and his detention without being charged they would put him on a plane and send him home. I think his congressman is Carlos Curbelo.

Can we lock this thread... preferrably in San Sebastian?

Yes, along those lines I think Dave's camp has gone about this the wrong way. At first, I understand the "keep your head down and keep a low profile" strategy. But that obviously has not worked and the CR govt just keeps abusing him. He and his team obviously know about SEO, internet traffic and generating publicity. I wonder why they aren't using those same internet publicity tactics that made Cuba Dave "famous" to expose his plight and what the CR govt has been doing. If he blew this story up on the internet, linked it with CR tourism meta tags and search words, issued travel warnings and just played hard ball, either US news parties pick it up or the CR govt. gets pressure from somewhere as a result. Just sitting back and keeping quiet is not working for him. Use the talents that got you there and fight back. Passivity is not working.
