At least the female cops at MDE are hot and I don't mind a pat down. In August, I was in line and got to the front of the line for the hottie airport police officer, but she made me step to the other line where a dude was giving free pat downs.

Years ago MDE only had females doing the pat downs. At some point they went co-ed.

They should let him go and just ban him from going back. Pretty sure everyone got the message they are trying to send.

A couple of more moths and the message will be more clear. Just saying

I just hope there aren't any "moths" flying around the pine box that they may ship him back in if he doesn't survive this.

Pure speculation here but I am guessing Dave will punch his ticket out of there. My logic stems from the fact that he denied the interview request. Her we have a known publicity hound purposely keeping quiet. Sounds like he is not making waves for a reason. If not and they keep him in jail, he needs to rethink his strategy then. Here's to hoping he gets home for Thanksgiving.

Yes he is an idiot for his website etc. But the precedent they are setting is bad.

They could arrest any gringo with pictures at the airport. And claim they were going to use the pictures to "promote" sexual tourism. Then you rot in jail while they allegedly collect more evidence.

It's a bunch of BS. Whatever evidence they are going to get they already have.

If they don't want prostitution or the gulch. Just shut it down. This is silly.

So......shut down the massage parlors. Tico ones too. And make it illegal. Arresting one dumb gringo that had a website is not solving the alleged "problem" he is concerned about.

I like CR. But there are other places I can go spend thousands of dollars. Florida, Panama, etc.

Actually, arresting CubaDave has done exactly what the CR authorities probably planned to happen all along. We all are talking about it and everyone is changing their patterns and actions. No more pictures here, the postings have been subdued with little of the "let's help each other" monger attitude being out there. Some hotels have changed their advertising to reflect the conversation about not being involved in pointing out the mongering to other people. Much has changed in the minds of ALL mongerers going to Costa Rica at this time plus the mindset of those that live there has shifted to more protection.

Basically, I would say Costa Rican has accomplished a lot with just this one arrest of this one old man.

Just my humble opinion.
