You have to be kidding. The posts here sometimes get real nasty and we are talking about chicas. Just think how it would be if the subject was politics. Why not try religion that should be interesting.

I heard about the cops searching you. But, I also heard from an eye-witness that you were held up in the Parka de Marazon by Ticos at gun point. This is all info we need to share. What the hell happened???

Hmmm, didn't happen at the Park, unless their is just a mix up and someone thought it was me?

My incident happened over by the big bank near Lipstick, I think its called like "Bank International" or something catchy.

Long story short, Im walking back from that area to the Presidente, and I get approached by some random guy, and then by some guys in a car; all whom have guns + knives + other weapons very visable.

Probably the most intense search Ive ever encountered. They ended up removing my shoes, socks, shirt, and hat, putting their hands all up my pant leg and in my pockets. They ended up taking all the money I had on me, which luckily was only like 20-30$. I tried to pull a fast one and hid my watch as this was all taking place, buttttt since that was what probably attracted them in the first place, they werent going to leave without it. They ended up finding that, and eventually just told me to "walk that direction, and dont turn around", so thats what I did.

It was pretty interesting, and for the most part I didnt feel that threatened as it took place. I figured Id just cut my loses and move on, but that wasnt really the case. I ended up running into the one guy AT LEAST 3 times a day for the rest of my trip, and he would always make random comments about " their watching me".

Oh well

This isn't a phucking "oh well" and blow it off situation. You need to open a topic on the Security thread and describe the situation. These assholes need to be arrested. If they think they can get one gringo, how will they ever get stopped unless WE police the incident. Ticos are great people. Despite the good ones, there are bad ones. Desperate ones will take advantage of gringos and continue until we do something.

Umm, to be exact Im not sure. I think November 12th or 13th would be a good guess as to when it happened.

Anyways, I developed a good relationship with Ernie outside the BM. Im sure most of you guys know who I mean. Me, knowing the general status of latin police, I didnt feel the need to report the case. Ernie on the other hand went all out, and filed all the reports for me. An officer called me up and confirmed that the story was legit.

I guess they actually did something. The next morning Im walking down to the grocery store, and one of the guys ( the one I mentioned I seen 3 times a day ) starts yelling at me because the police raided his "hotel" and took his stuff.

Im looking forward to this trip though. I want to see if they remember who I am, and whether or not they make any notion towards coming after me. If so, Ill have to order my nica buddy to take em' out.

You need to be way more agressive with these mother fuckers and the police. I don't want paradise to be riddled with worries about getting jumped going back to my hotel.

Ofcourse, we need to play our part and not wear expensive looking stuff. But, face it, they know we are gringos with money.

I'm concerned for both us and them. If they mug me without a gun, good luck. They will likely end up in the hospital. If they mug me with a weapon, then I'll possibly give in.

Who are these phuckers? Do you have a description or photos? I will personally put them on my list of Ticos to beat silly on my next trip. They will regret their ways. I have a bad history with this sort of shit in America.

Im 100% confident I can find them, so Im going to take a picture of them next time, or at least as many of them as I can.

You will have to excuse Jovenmacaula as it is just growing pains he is going thru. Hope he learns a lot here so he can live long & prosper? I remember when I was a little out of control at times but I lived long enough to mature some anyway?
