I think this article is a major exageration.

Escazu reminds me much more of an early Manhattan Beach, California than Miami, by far.

The best part about this country is that you have the option of choosing your type of "experience" -- all within a 20 minute drive.

If you want your shit hole, third world country with chickens and stray dogs and roosters crowing and no English spoken by the locals- you can have that. And be back to your Peirre and bagels and country club within a half hour.

To me-- it's the best of all worlds.
