I took $50 bills on my last trip. I did notice last trip, while sitting at the back bar in the DR, taped to the wall they have a photocopy of the suspect $100 bills and instructions on how to recognize the bills.

I have exchanged 5-6 of them recently at my bank here. (Banco Interfin) However the last time they made me deposit it instead of cashing it. They also photo copied the bill and my passport before depositing the bill. This isn't a problem for me since I live here, but doesn't help those of you vacationing. My question is that since they are US bills,is there a problem with them in the States?
