I've heard that too -- that married guys live longer.

Sad they don't want to.

I'm glad this was posted I am 42 divorced without K*ds and would like Ch*ldren. The ONLY reason a man should marry is to have K*ds otherwise marriage holds no upside for him.

I agree with TMAN it's wiser to wait until later in life (at least 35 in my opinion) to marry when testosterone is not ruling your decisions as much . Thinking with the wrong head, I was more concerned about my first wife's great tits than whether she'd be a caring mother and stable wife.

I've had a great civilian gringa girlfriend for 4 months now and it terrifies me to not be able to call a local miami escort agency for a little variety on the side. Sexual boredom in monogamy is a problem after you've lived in Therma 4x4 in Rio for one week.

Sure I could cheat in a marriage but that doesn't work for me I didn't do it in my first one.

It's starting to look like an old fart bachelor like me will have to marry a 25 year old russian girl if I want Ch*ldren, what do you think Rocco?

I've heard that statistic many times before as well, and though I've never carefully reviewed the actual study, I have to wonder "does correlation equal causation?" In other words, is it the actual institution of marriage that leads to longer life or is it just something else that corresponds with marriage that causes it. For example, could it simply be the benefit of having someone to share life's burdens with? And if so wouldn't just living with someone or being involved in serious relationships for the better part of one's life or even just having a good network of friends acheive the same result? Alternatively, could there be something about people that never marry that makes them more prone to shorter lives anyway? Sickly less fit people are certainly less likely to find mates than healthy people. If you're a physically fit but never married person, could it be that you're likely to live just as long as your married friends? Those are just some alternate explanations to consider.

Prolijo,

I believe why the statistics bare this out is not totally valid in some ways.
Example many people that get divorced may have been do to alcoholism or drugs. Usually these people die younger. So this slants the study to some degree. If you are a happy person & live a happy life & take care of yourself I would really think it would be the same. Also many single men hang in bars to help their loneliness & are subjected to smoke & alcohol.

Also unhappy people divorce where happy people stay together. And if you did a study on this I bet you would find that happy people simply live longer than unhappy people. We see this all the time where generally happy people with faith do better with cancer than the unhappy bitter type.

Just some things I see.

You guys run deep, man.... I too should write someone a check for all the good counsel / deep thought stuff I find here.... keeps me going...
I guess I will have to settle for buying you guys a beer when I see you...
here's a thought....

Women give sex to get love-

Men give love to get sex.....

(unless he's in CR with cash)

That's why women mix sex and love and fall in love with any guy that lays the pipe well and is decent to them.... I get girls professing their pure undying love for me sometimes before I even phuck her, or immediately after once or twice, almost every time.... WTF?!?!? you love me? right.

Men don't fall in love the same when they give love to get sex, cuz it's mostly bullshit and after he blows his load, he loses interest... No more reason to keep up the BS 'love' act... remarkable how we notice so much more clearly what a pain in the ass she is after we squeeze off a few shots...

If I can get sex, without giving love, or at least without giving the wedding ring, why the hell would I want to marry? So I can get stuck in a place I don't want to be? So she can feel stuck with me and unhappy and make my life a living hell? So I can lose my ASS financially?

When I first got divorced, I figured if I could just find a wife that appreciated me, all would be well... these days, I can't ever see myself getting married.... Call me a cynic, but isn't it a bigger challenge to stay with a girl you aren't married to, staying though you don't have to? Isn't that more meaningful? And if you are stuck "til death do you part" she (or you) get license to get fat, and talk shit?
Unconditional love sounds nice, but conditional love makes more sense sometimes.... I'll stay as long as you don't turn into a fat lazy gringa worthy of the local trailer park...

sorry for the long post.... love you guys... keep it up

-King Solomon

You can stay single and be lonely, or
get married and wish you were dead.

I would consider marriage to my little porn star at oasis ~However she would have to get the approval of all my friends.....Including my new found buddy and renowned CRT critic Prolijo

Men marry women hoping they will never change~
Women marry men hoping to change them.

Stay single its cheaper and unlike the zippster states
Single men live fuller lives.

Next time your thinking about marriage call your buddy and ask him when he plans on
renewing his wedding vows with his lovely bride!!!

No need to get my or anyone else's approval, JD. YOUR little porn actress and future wife) at Oasis is already doing at least half a dozen guys each day and an untold number of other CRT members before you ever even met her. I doubt she's even missed a single beat since you left. Don't fool yourself into thinking you're anything special to her. Go ahead and propose to her if you're foolish enough to do that, and either I or someone else just like me will still be banging her the very next day.

BTW, if calling you out on your assinine comments makes me a "renowned CRT critic", I wear that title proudly. But if it makes me your "new-found buddy", I wish I'd keep my mouth shut. Just let it go, man. You're just digging yourself in deeper.

I don't know her name, but I have pictures of her in private action.

I'm considering you as my best man~I need someone with over a 1000 posts to write the invitations.
Someone who knows everything about everyone.
Someone like you my favorite critic.I thought all you do is write novels.
I am happy to hear you bang the little rc's from time to time
Does dig yourself deeper have anything to do with pounding harder?
So are we on for lunch?
