No. Americans and tourist in general is 8-12% of Costa Rica overall GDP. For many business it is 100% of their income. Most Costa Ricans do not even like illegals from other countries. They do not like Haitians, Dominicans, Nicagurians for some reason. Stealing jobs among the primary reasons. I've been going there over 15 years now.

Another thing you fail to realize is that most Latin country are very religious, usually catholic and more old school still. Macho culture, family #1, education focus, ect.

Unlike America where the prespection is America is liberal/woke. That is just news fiction. 70% of America is still conservative.

All these latin countries love Trump. They love a strong leader and they prefer a man(Macho-culture) vs a pu*sy like Tim Walz, Biden, or Kakala.

If you never traveled it might be hard to wrap your head around but just realize if you are American when you travel 99% of the time you will run into a culture shock of how the world really works vs how America lies to you about how it works.

Now with all that said. I wouldn't go ask for or invite trouble by wearing Trump/Vance apparel or even an American flag on anything I wear. I like to blend in and not attract unneeded attention. Flashy, dressed nice, Trump or Biden Hat/Appeal, American sports teams, ect. Is just asking for random trouble that could of been avoided. Common sense goes a long way when traveling.

Soo don't worry one bit and be happy.

I never BRING UP politics on this site, but when a woke neurotic effeminate girly man hypocrite starts whimpering and sniveling about mean old bad Trump and talking about how he was a poosy and denied being American even decades ago because that president at the time made him butt hurt, I had to expose him as the sad pathetic fool and hypocrite he is.

There's numerous veterans here who put their lives on the line for America, I doubt if they caught this nauseating weasel sniveling he denied being an American, it wouldn't go down well with them, either...

+100. There is no benefit to arguing politics on a website such as CRT. There was a time on CRT in which the members were collegial to each other and tried to make post to help or entertain the membership. Both sides of the Trump debate are pretty entrenched in their positions. I doubt that anybody is going to change their minds based on a post on CRT or other similar website. Furthermore there are literally thousands of websites for people to argue about politics, why not go to one of those websites and argue about Trump there? Why ruin what's left of this website?

FWIW, the website In Search of Chicas (ISOC) which was primarily dedicated to the Dominican Republic, but also included other venues, went completely down the toilet when a major focus became politics and not the hobby. Back in the day it was a very lively and informative website, it is now shut down.

I don't think NUTGERMS is totin' a full stringer of fish. This is not a political statement.

OP is right to be concerned. The cartels definitely seem to be upset with Trump. The lazy days of Bidet and Kameltoe where you could just drive into a drug compound with Jennifer Aniston and your 2 fake K*ds, load up your RV with narcotics and be sent on your merry way are over. However, for the other 99.9% of us, it's business as usual.

I visited CR earlier this year, and casually talked to the ticas. My spanish is limited and most of the ticas english is limited so the conversations were mostly hola, come estas, etc. Only one tica asked my thoughts on politics (whether I was for or against). She said she asks everyone she talks to (gringos) and according to her they all supported the current administration. She did share her opinion was that the current administration was against latin americans. Other than that, nothing in CR seemed like I was getting targeted more for the change in administration. But this trip to CR did seem like I was getting scammed a bit more than usual. I still want and hope to return.

Just returning from a 2 week trip to CR, and not 1 Tica/Tico I encountered brought up Trump or mentioned Politics.

It's BAU our Ben Franklins are still good (Unripped or torn of course)and the Putas well they could care less.

Now the same can't be said for the Canadians.
