I've received emails from non-pros, semi-pros and pros. Some of them were college educated and employed as teachers (Vegas Bob knows
who I'm talking about), secretaries, etc. They never use periods.
Even after requesting that they use periods at the end of sentences, they still did not do it. Pathetic. Having said that, let me say that the majority of people in the US who graduated from high school and even college in the past twenty years are functional illiterates. Most individuals under the age of 35 in the US would fail a
general geography and english composition test. These 'idiots' can't
form a gramatically correct sentence and their spelling is atrocious. Before we criticize the chicas, let's not forget to realize that the majority
of individuals in the US under 35 are functional illiterates. Pathetic!

Amen to what both of you have said. The American people are going to get precisely what they deserve. Those that either don't vote at all or vote on a single issue will eventually discover they have made a fatal mistake. Is there any doubt that politicians on both sides of the aisle are preying on the unintelligent and uninformed voter to keep their sorry asses feeding at the public trough. Is it any wonder that 94% of our congressmen get re-elected if they want to ?

Couldn't agree with you more. What's worse is that the educators are (in my opinion) co-conspirators in the decline of our educational system. I don't claim to be a genius. I am a HS grad with 1.5 years at a Junior College. But, check this out:

About 7 years ago, my ex-gf had a son who was a junior in HS. He had to do a report on his summertime activities. I'll never remember it verbatim but, it read a little something like this: Last summer, me and my hommies hung out at the clubs. All my crew was looking fly and the honnies were plenty. [My reaction ]

I am only 41, hardly "old school." But, to think he would even have the nerve to hand that in tells me something.

I just had 6 GREAT days in the gulch.
